That's what I would assume you do , after it has had a chance to work. But again (and it seems to be becoming my catchphrase), I would cross my fingers and hope it worked!
Tester is good. If you can't clean it will you bet getting a new one anyway? I mean there is always the slight chance it won't work. x Just being cautious saying that:)A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

The only thing I found that worked was... Dettox mould and mildrew remover, you just spray it on, wait 10 mins and it is clean !
I agree, this stuff works really well.
I even used it on a piece of net curtain and it came up lovely with no damage to curtain.

hi help needed please dont know if anyone can help but does anyboby know what to clean mold off of a memory foam mattress. the mold seems to have grown between the wood base of the bed & the underside of the matress. i want to put white vinegar or even bleach on it but the matress is less than 6 months old so an worried i'll completely ruin it .0

I would contact the manufacturer for advice in case anything reacts with the foam and causes damage.
Or else post on the mattress thread for advice from Tim who posts there regularly and sells beds/mattresses.0 -

Hi Cornish Lady:hello:
Are you going to contact the manufacturer to see what can cause harm to the memory foam?
There is a thread about removing mould from fabric,so have a read and I'll add your thread to that one later, to keep the information together
thanks:)

I'm shocked! Mold on a memery foam matress. I thought they were the bees knee's (posh). A good airing would help. I used white vinegar to stop the mold in its tracks on my shower curtains and that was very good.
It sounds like you may have to buy a new base for the bed if you can get it clean. When we sleep we loose a lot of water in sweating and if it cannot evaperate in the air will become damp and moldy. If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

I think that's right - if the base of the matress is totally enclosed it can't breathe.
I bought one of these matresses about a year ago and it's been the best thing ever. But, I have a metal frame bed with "slats" and plenty of open space. The shop that sold it to me said it was best to have a bed that let some air to the base of it.0
