Wise up. Toyota's hold their price. They are not identical to the French counterparts, close - but not identical. Check out the prices.stumpjumper wrote: »why?

If you can add an extra £1k go for a Toyota Yaris T3 1.3 3dr. I have one of these and my insurance cost around £700 considering at the time I'd held my licence for one year, completed pass plus and I'm listed as the main driver with my father as an additional driver. Road tax is £115 if I remember correctly.
If not, go for a Toyota Yaris T2 1.0 3dr.
Wouldn't advise you to go for an Aygo but that's because personally I think the interior is awful, it looks cheap.0 -
Does anyone know anything about the Citroen C1? I like the look of it but haven't been inside one yet. I noticed it has a tiny boot but that's not a problem. Thanks for all the advice everyone0

looking on autotrader - 2 year old aygos and C1s are going for about £5k
new the aygo is more than the C1.... so your loosing more money on getting the aygo.

If you compare like for like then the aygo will be worth more (though it does cost more). the aygo's are better equiped to start with, particularly the aygo+.
The C1's also come in some odd colours!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I test drove the C1 and found it a lot more tinny than the Aygo. Personally, why not try all three versions. I would have done if it weren't for the fact we have no pug garage anywhere near us.0

I'd seriously recommend checking out the Hyundai i10. You could get one new in your price range.
I got one, 3 days old in Metallic Blue, 1 year tax - 5 year warranty, 3 years RAC cover and I'm chuffed to bits with it. Small, nippy but a good size - I'm a drummer and my kit fits in it a treat!
Cheers,

Park one of each side by side (secondhand), which would you buy? Be honest now..stumpjumper wrote: »looking on autotrader - 2 year old aygos and C1s are going for about £5k

C1 would sound more tinny than the Aygo. Bodywork is not so good.Genie

Maybe spend a little more and go for the Honda Jazz.
Ive had one for over 3 years now.
MPG never drops below 46.
1.4 engine
Fair sized boot for a 5 door hatchback and very easy to drive.
Best car ive ever had and will definitly get a new one next time.
A little more expensive to purchase but will hold its price well especially if it has full service history.0
