I had some a few weeks ago - I had an email from them saying I had won and that they would be sent to me. After three weeks and nothing arriving, I emailed them. They were absolutely brilliant - responded immediately, apologised to me for not receiving them, confirmed that they had been sent out (probably my postie got his hands on them!!) and then said they would send me 4 instead of the usual 2 for any inconvience. These ones duly arrived two days later by recorded delivery. Absolutely brilliant as they are general tickets for any odeon and not film specific so I have held on to them so that I can see Mamma Mia for free as I doubt any free screenings will be released.:j Member Number 18 of the "100 free films in London in 2010" club:hello:0 -
Yup, I won too....At FMUK, one of us seems to win every time!

Despite what has been said, people seem to think that COMPETITIONS = TICKETS
This is not the competitions page - there is a separate section for competitions.
Guaranteed instant tickets come from Seefilmfirst, momentumscreenings etc etc
Jeez man !
Apologies for the chat but we need to stop this. The last 4 posts if not more are competitions - who really ever wins them - and they do not guarantee tickets like codes do............0 -

There aren't any codes around at the moment and I did win a competition this week, I'm going to the Premiere of Hancock. Film comps on the competitions board would get lost amongst the 100's of competitions that are posted each day. I don't think there could be a dedicated thread just for film competitions on the competitions board, if that happened then people may start wanting holiday comp threads, etc....
If a separate thread could be made Freebies and made a sticky, that may work, I think cinema discussion would be good as a sticky too, maybe all 3 togetherI'm rambling now so I'll stop.
SFF codes don't guarantee tickets, it's stilll a case of who gets there quickest.
Also when we get a notification email of a code being posted, there's a good chance that it won't be of much help to some people because the film may not be screening in their area.
I do understand people getting annoyed when they log in to see chit chat, but I do think that competitions have a right to be here.0 -
Read your message Sparky61 on the codes thread and delighted you have won free tickets. I still disagree that competitions should go on that thread, as there is no urgency to know/or enter a competition whereas if you don't respond to a sff code quickly you are unlikely to get tickets. Just a suggestion, couldn't it be organised like on the magazine thread or the Boots thread, where some nice/kind/organised person puts the current film competitions on the first post of this thread as and when they are posted?0
