billythekid, if you've got something to say, say it on the chat thread. It's much worse to post chat on the codes thread than competitions. What's wrong with movie competitions anyway? I won many a ticket through them, and in summer there seems to be a drought for codes, so I'd rather know what competitions are out there for previews and premieres, and I'd rather know on a thread that is dedicated to free cinema tickets than have to comb the rather large competitions board every day.
I agree entirely! Especially as some competitions (I'm thinking Eros and Time Out Opening Nights) seem to rotate winners, so if you enter three or four in a row you are pretty much guaranteed to get a free ticket. I've seen four films this way so far this year (although granted I've fruitlesly entered another 10 or so!), and have always been very grateful for the heads up!0 -
Folks, I have to say that I gave it some degree of thought before finally deciding on posting the WALL-E details. In the end I posted it due to the large number of cinemas involved which, in my opinion, makes it more of a "ticket giveaway" than a competition and thought that the vast majority of people would appreciate it being on the codes thread and that unlike the competitions to win movie premiere tickets it looks like a good number of people will end up with tickets. All-in-all it's just a bit like seefilmfirst but without instantly knowing whether or not you have got the tickets.
I apologise to anybody who is upset with my post.0 -

Sorry for the chat, but I won tickets to this (tomorrow), but now can't go, so emailed the Evening Standard to re-allocate my tickets to someone else. Perhaps someone would like to try and contact Evening Standard promotions to see if they can get hold of them.
