I agree with the many suggestions made by other users that there might be better ways to organise the competitions/codes dilemma than the current state. But overall, if it was a straightforward no competitions/competitions choice, surely the fact that comps posters get a lot more thanks than people complaining about comps, shows that democratically (sp?) speaking, people favour there being competitions?

I'm not trying to sound arsey, but I just think that either (as Venezia suggested) someone who is gifted in the area of technical website knowhow (not me ;>!) needs to do something pratcical about it, or else a conclusion about the way forward (comps/no comps) - perhaps by some sort of vote? - should be reached, and the issue should be settled, as all the debate about it on the codes thread is getting a bit tedious!

Obviously having a debate about it here is good, intellectual fun ;>!

If posting competitions on the Free cinema ticket - codes only thread was such a big problem, then surely the moderator would have removed them and posted them on this thread instead. However, I have noticed that chat/discussions re whether competitions should be posted on there have been moved to here.

Yes chat posts on the codes thread do get moved to here - when everyone on instant email notification has already logged in to expect something new only to see chat again!

You don't need to be a technical genius to open a competitions thread here solely for movie comps, but in my opinion one of the mods of this board should do it and transfer all comp posts there - if I or someone else just reposted everything, those people wouldn't get thanked, and their comp posts would still be on the codes thread. So unless the moderators react, there is not much an individual can do IMHO.

Btw, saw Men in Black in Blu-Ray last night at the Vue West End - due to the short notice of the email invitation only 25 people turned up altogether. A bit of a shambles if you ask me.

I won that comp too, couldn't go though, it was way too short notice. such a waste though.

I think the MODS should open a sticky thread dedicated to Film Comps because if it gets posted onto the normal Codes ONLY then you get moany people and if it gets posted here when it's just chat really it can get unnoticed.

Sure Film Comps are not a guaranteed free film for you but thanks to them e.g. Facebook Ironman Comp and FilmFactory Enchanted Comp I got to watch some really good films that didn't have SFF codes

I have 2 cineworld vouchers that can be redeemed for 2 adult tickets at any cineworld cinema excluding London West End (Chelsea, Fulham Road, Haymarket and Shaftesbury Avenue).
