I agree with the general view on Get Smart - I thought it was fab! Lovely humour, kind of like the Naked Gun films I thought, and the jokes were not anyone's expense. I've never seen the TV series on which it is based, but that didn't matter. Far better than I expected it to be. My 12 year old DD loved it too - it's a great film to take your older kids to see, boys or girls.:T

The showing at Bournemouth was also full to capacity, but I don't think they turned anyone away as the last people to come in arrived after the film had started.

Anyway scores on the doors for Get Smart - 9/10.

I went to Miss Pettigrew at York, with an elderly neighbour. The cinema was fairly busy - but not full.

I enjoyed the film - I thought it was quite smart (witty) in places, and I realised I had a permanent smile on my face. I thought the acting was great.

    I'd give it a good 8/10.

From reading everyone's comments here, everyone seemed to enjoy Get Smart.....I thought it was okay......there were a few good funnies here and there but I don't think it's a film I would watch again eventhough I did LOL in some parts :p

My friends enjoyed the film ALOT....they just kept thanking me for inviting them because they got rejected from Kingston the day before as the screening was full! Luckily this time I told them to get there 6pm and I got there at 6:10pm (whoops) but the screening wasn't packed (phew)... Though the "good" seats (middle rows for me) were all taken........

    Anyways, I think I would give it a 5.5/10.......now I hope I win the Hellboy 2 tix :D

P.S. Do you think if we contact the MOD re. cinema comps to be allowed to be posted in the cinema code only thread or have it's own seperate thread in the Freebies forum because the one in Comps forum is dry :p .....we should be able to vote because I got some really good free screenings through cinema comps!

Second row from the back, right-hand side, next to the aisle. :)
That's funny, I had to squeeze past you to get to the back row, because the three people in the back row wouldn't shift so I could get in! Peasants.

Oh I think I remember you! Didn't you then move to another seat altogether?

Yes, I then moved to the other side as hubbie was there and I thought it was better to move than sit near hostile people :)!

You're joking right? It's not out on DVD anywhere in the world - it only came to cinemas anywhere about a month ago. Have you been out buying dodgy DVDs?
