just formatted...and it's only the second or third time I have put it on...so I am stumped

You've installed it 2 or 3 times with the same serial number and you're stumped that it flags something?

Seriously, by the time you'd written all of these posts you could have called the free automated line, punched in a bunch of numbers and been off the phone, activated :P

Reset for a number of re activations .
But id hardware is changed then you will probably need to reactivate again . Exactly the same as in Win XP only with Vista the rule one copy on one machine is even tighter .jje

Aye..you wait until day 30. Just don't complain when the machine fires up and the only thing you can do is run the product activation.

You are aware it runs on severly reduced functionality after the deadline aren't you?

I wont have to wait that long...I'll wait 7-8 days and if it doesn't work then ...then I'll ring M$...just hate ringing them and with a new OS...it's nuts...I am sure it will be something simple thats all and it'll sort itself in 7-8 days if not then I'll ring them...
