Thanks sooo much for the quick replys. I cant also understand why she wouldnt cut thier hair, they had no lice atall and no eggs, just the blooming carcasses. Ive told the girls we will sort it and if she wont cut thier hair on thurs i will take them to another hairdressers on fri. I did explain to her, that they werent live and there was nothing in them, if u know what i mean, but i didnt want to get moody, i understand her views a little, she has no kids which explains a lot, it was how upset my eldest was that go to me, she was gutted, crying etc, i had to stay calm for her and tell her it was just a delay not a cancellation, we will do all we can and then take stock again. Thanks so much, i will phone docs and try and get the comb on prescription tomoz, if not ill order it straight after, itll be worth the money. Thanks all again for your such quick replys. Il show the eldest this thread tomoz so she will realise the comb does its job and she doesnt need worry, she will get her haircut! xxx0

Thanks dave, husks are a much better word to use than carcasses, thankyou, that was the word i was looking for. She wasnt being lazy, all ican think is that, well, i dont know, i wasnt happy and got a bit tetchy, all ican think is she doesnt understand which in itself doesnt sound right on my path. I can one milion % say there were no live nits or eggs, it is just husks from the last infestation, grrr blooming nits, who invented them id like to have a word with lol, they are nothing but a pain in the bum!!!!0

Goodness me are you sure that woman is a friend.
my sister once put a whole tub of cheap hair gel on her hair playing
hairdressers, when it was washed and not all the gel would come out, so her
hair was combed anyway and the eggs were unable to hang on, they just
slipped out, hair needed another wash after.
hope that helps.0 -
Dont worry we had the case of nits, but as my daughter called them "the visitors", digressing slightly, but may be worth trying tea tree shampoo and conditioner once a week, as the visitors dont like them, I got sainsburys own brand 54p a bottle.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

have you tried this comb:-
http://www.nittygritty.co.uk/ng/index.jsp?page=/productInfo.jsp&productId=3
it claims to get eggs out and apparantly you can get it on prescription.
No lotions or potions ever work & neither does vinegar!!
Invest in a nitty griity (about £9.99) & comb your childs hair regularly with it so you detect the lice/eggs as soon as they are thereTHE LIFE AND SOUL OF THE PARTY :beer:0 -
agree with the above post from nickym the only thing that will really work is a good comb............. do not spend loads on shampoos they will not work..........just run the comb through your kids hair everyday
really do not understand why you friend :-) did not cut your girls hair (could she not have came to your house.........)0 -
Ive just written a massive post and pressed the wrong button, [prob saved you all lol. I must reiterate she has no live eggs or lice, it is literally husks. She is a friend who i havent seen for 2 years, a fantastic hairdresser, works for a great chain, she really does her job well. Its just that my eldest was sooo gutted, i just want to do the best for her. The person who is going to cut her hair is going to do it exacly how she wants it, rare in hairdressing circles inour / her experience lol. I feel so bad, literally like its my fault, i shouldve cleared all the husks, but saying that i was told by the hv that they have to grow out. But thanks to lovely posters on here i now know i can get the comb which i will be tomoz. She will be caked in gel tomoz then combed thru, i feel its my job to do what makes her feel happy. Thats come out wrong, shes not spoilt, hairdressers cuts are very rare as the expense, but i just feel ive ruined this occasion for her. Its the fact she h ad all the pics ready etc, and spent last night getting all excited going thru the hair sites. The younger one just wants to look like rose tyler/ billie piper dr who lol. Bless her, she saw the elder one all upset and kept herself together. Again, i agree with all of you, its husks, why cant she cut?? Was very upsetting this afternoon, i didnt cry, she shed all the tears, i just cuddled, horrible. Thanksyou all x0
