Sarah, get your tattoo in memory of your Mum and then get on top of the debt stuff hun in the best ways that you have always(and will again) done.;)
I suppose you have lived your life right in the spotlight and are indeed very honest about pretty much all areas of your life but maybe its time to re evaluate again re the debts.
However I want to congratulate you on your race for life :T, your determination to succeed in whatever you put your mind to and the fact that you are marching forward, oh ok, limping at the mo:D, in so many areas of your life.:j
And for gawds sake, get rid of the blinkin Egg card, they are twots........ xxxDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Hi IA
Hope I didn't upset you with what I wrote - that wasn't my intention.
Your SOA is your private business - feel free to post it or not post it I just stand by my suggestion that there might be no harm in expanding your SOA to include having a decent amount of pocket money from your wages if you can swing it each month which means you can spend guilt-free and the egg card at say £400 gets paid at £50 each month for 8 months instead of OMG £300 this month and £100 next month and you have two months staring at the walls thinking egg egg egg until you say eff it and go buy a ferrari :rotfl:0 -

um gas/electric - have you switched? it seems quite expensive to me but then I guess you don't have a 1 bed flat like me and you are at home more during the day?
um food for Ste? could potentially cut down here?
Nursery fees- you using childcare vouchers?
Looks good to me.Making my money go further with MSE :j

OK - deep breath - I'm going in!
Surplus = £255.85
(Plus CAB expenses and any AS income.)
Surplus gets split:
£100.00 Sarah
£100.00 Ste
£55.85 'miscellaneous' in a web saver
£55.85 gets put by each month to cover car insurance/car tax/MOT/potentially put a hole in TV deal when it comes to an end etc.
2 x credit cards are being paid as per SOA so they're OK for now.
CAB expenses and AS income are sporadic - they get put towards debt as and when but the debts are being serviced without them and this budget could work for say a three month period and then review.
Credit cards get put in the freezer and the £100.00 per month (or £200.00 combined if you want a joint purchase) is spends for the next three months. NO PLASTIC.
£100.00 gets spent each month for each of you HOWEVER YOU LIKE BUT ONLY FOR FUN/WANTS. Everyone works for some reward, why shouldn't you if your budget allows it?
The car loan is the least of your worries - yeah the APR is crap but I say meet the commitments for the next three months, relax and enjoy one another's company and go back to it in another three months aiming for (dare I say it? Ok, yes I will!) a bit more life/debt balance. You'll get there in the end I have no doubt I'd just rather not see you get so upset about it along the way:o Sxx0
