In all honesty all I feel like doing is just being on my own but then I end up thinking about stuff too much and feel worse. It's a viscous circle.
I know exactly how you feel:o

    Ditto to all the above
Sorry you're feeling down - speaking as someone who has been the "who am I, where am I going route" my only advise is write a list of wants, needs and musts - try and balance them - just like your spreadsheet - omg is that too anal! Don't mean it to be.
The other thing is simply an observation - could it be that time of the month again - I get exactly the same and I'm not trying to trivialise how you're feeling - but look back over your entries in the diary and see if there is a pattern.
Finally "live for the day"! IA you are a star not wonder woman!!
    Here endeth today lesson.:o

If you're making a list include what you've achieved (TV Star, musician, brilliant mum and wife, DFW extraordinaire) and take some time to feel good about those things. Its so easy to think 'okay what's next?' and not take time to appreciate your achievements.

IA, I think what you have achieved in the last 18 months is blooming amazing, I really do and you are allowed to feel like you do. I'm the sort of person that always wants to do the next thing and end up chasing my tail. I KNOW in years to come I will regret the lifestyle I'm living - not cos I drink or smoke but I'm useless with my time and the one thing I do need time for - myself - never happens. So what if this weekend you leave the kids with Ste and just spend the whole day out by yourself. I did that once, and drove over 100 miles and parked a street away from my parents house (who had kicked me out at age 16) and stared at their house for 30 minutes, then drove home:confused: . I had no idea I was going to do that before I left my house! That sort of makes me sound a bit of a weirdo but I found it immensely calming! Since then if I have needed time to think for myself, I have gone to somewhere that I need to be - usually starbucks now:rolleyes: , but it works for me.

Anyhow big hugs for you at this time.

  • Hi IA

I don't post often on your thread but I always read and I echo what others have already said about how far you have come, what you have achieved and to prioritise and find time for you and family however even though its hard to get feelings across on a forum like this it feels like there is more to this than you having too much to do etc and that there is something more on your mind, possibly something too private for you to disclose on this forum so if this is the case have you thought about seeing your doc about some counselling? It may help to talk to someone impartial and non judgemental?

Please ignore if I am way off the mark, good intentions where meant.

    Hope you feel 'lighter' soon.

    Hi Sar

Just had a quick read. I felt exactly like you did six months ago and took a step back from MSE cos I felt like I was just negative all the time. I was also suffering from chronic fatigue from taking too much on.

I wish I could give you words of wisdom but I can't. All I can say is don't stop posting cos you feel negative. Its good to know that even the best MSE'rs have problems.

You have achieved so much over the last couple of years and I think you are just in some kind of transitional phase. You love the CAB and want to do that BUT to do that you are having to earn money elsewhere. You have a natural talent for this kind of stuff keep at it.

If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got. No one can accuse you of that now can we!

You are an inspiration. Keep up the running, I had to give up for a while and now I am getting back into it again I realise what a release it is for me.

    Chin up

You're a perfectionist and a worrier, you've had so much responsibility from very young age that it's hard to switch it off and not feel guilty and feel you have to make everything better? Sarah, you're already where you want to be, you make the big steps forward, have a little wobble and self-doubt then remember to believe in yourself. You've proved you can change things and do things, with those tools at your disposal you can do it all on your terms. You are in control.

Thanks guys. Your words mean a lot and I really appreciate all the support. Still unsure as to what I'm doing other than muddling by day by day. Sat down last night to do my CAB/OU work and instead ending up writing a song. lol. Well I say a song, some bass ideas and some lyrics. Talk about a way to vent! lol.
CAB this afternoon followed by a pub AS party in Stafford tonight, should be really good fun and they've booked a stripper!!! lol! I did treat myself last week and order myself a corset which will be arriving today so I might wear that tonight with some smart jeans or something. :) A bit nervous to how it's going to go but looking forward to it as well. :)
