Following a prompt on another thread I've just completed the request to trace old/lost accounts. I know I've got a Post Office savings account that i've had since I was little and I was able to provide the branch details ( i think there is probably less than £10 in there), I also could remember the building society name of the account that I had when i was at school (the BS used to visit the school every month and open a mini branch). Finally - and I'm not sure about this one - I think i had a bank account that I opened for some freebies when I was about 16.

If they do manage to trace them all I think it will only be about £30 max but better in my pocket ay:D

I got my bill from Vodadfone today and finally it is correct so I'm now only paying £14.67 a month so I'm pleased with that. I get paid next week and I'm on track to pay my usual £500 OP but I'm not sure whether to make my £75 OP to the BTL as the tenant leaves next week and at the minute I haven't got anyone due to go in. I also think a couple of rooms will need a lick of paint so I think I will hang on a little to make the BTL OP.

I haven't got the numbers to hand at the moment but I've also received some unexpected shares in the last month due to a capitalisation issue. In previous posts I've mentioned that I'd been buying some shares when the market dropped and after I'd bought the price dropped even further  but as of last week they are now worth what I paid so hopefully in time the market will creep back up and I'll make a profit.

I've not had any unusual expenditure this month but I'm off to have my hair done this afternoon which will probably be the thick end of £30 but then again I don't go to the hairdressers very often

One other thing to report is that I'm booked to go to Spain for a few days in July and I'm really looking forward to it!

I've just input my gas and electric meter readings on the on-line service. I was quite impressed actually that I got an email prompt to do this as it was something I was going to do now that the gas situation is sorted out (more of that in a min:rolleyes:).

It was nice and easy to do and it looks like my consumption since the last bill is low but..... my gas bill says I'm £925 in credit, hmm, that's just not true, looks like the gas situation is not sorted after all. I can't even check with my neighbour (the one who's bills I've been paying) as he is on holiday now for 3 weeks. hey ho, looks like the saga continues

I'm being a bit naughty here but I've just changed my signature to reflect an OP I won't be making until this Wednesday. Due to work committments this week I know I won't be able to update it until next Saturday at the earliest so I'm taking the opportunity to do it now as I love doing it and I'm more than ready for my monthly fix:o

I've set my internet banking to make the payment on Wednesday for me - yay to on-line banking.

The amount I've reduced my mortgage by since i started OP'ing last April has now gone into double figures - £10,568 :j:j:j

I hope that the gas situation does resolve itself.

Submitting readings online is great as it helps to mean your direct debit will be close to consumption (once your issues are resolved!). I enter mine every two weeks, although supplier bills quarterly they still take them (and I think take account of them for consumption consideration) and plot estimated consumption each time. Actual is plotted when bill is received.
