Hi all, just to report I've just made my April OP of £500 as well as £75 to the BL (I've updated the BTL post that I keep within this diary). I've just updated my signature too - dontcha just love doing that :D

I've not been on here much lately as a combination of work and access while I'm away working hasn't left me with much opportunity boohoo

It's been confirmed today that my BTL tenant will be leaving in May so I've instructed the letting agents to start looking for a new tenant straight away. I don't want to jinx myself but.... usually my occupancy is pretty good - I think it's only been unoccupied a total of 15 weeks out of 32 months which is good going I believe. I think I am going to have to splash out on a bit of redecorating but it is worthwhile as the property is of a certain standard and I want to maintain that to keep the sort of corporate tenants I have. I've definately decided to sell the BTL even if this is 2 or 3 years down the line, there is just too much equity in there that would put a lovely hole in my mortgage!

Sadly not much else to report on the MFW front apart from
    • I'm just about on track for my year end target that I pledged to Financial Bliss for the MFiT T2 that will start at the end of the year
    • When the next bit of stooze money is repaid (July) I'm going to apply for a 0% purchase card and use the money to gain some interest rather than paying the bills off
Hmm, just thought of something else - did anyone see the Daily Mail yesterday with the article reminding us of the chancellors plan to increase NI in 2011 and that people earning over £19500 will be taxed at 45% - I haven't read it myself yet, just heard about it, but if I've heard right this will have huge ramifications on a currently struggling economy and 2011 isn't far off...

Well, I've listed 28 books on ebay over the weekend - it's boring work so I've just been doing a few here and there....

ooh, three items have got bids on already - they are only tuppeny stuff but every little helps.:j

I must be more organised with the ones that don't sell and use the re-list option straight away as I think I only have 10 days to do it and then you have to start from scratch and I really don't want to do that as my computer is sooooo slow

Thanks Smlsave, at the moment I'm just doing books but over the next few months I'm going to try and list some larger things that I no longer use e.g. computer games etc

Grrrrr:eek: Got my bill from Vodafone this month, I'm supposed to be paying £15 per month and last month they chargd me £25 and this month £50! I usually get an itemised bill but they appeared to have stopped that too so there is currently no way of seeing how they have come up with these charges.

Look like another email of complaint - why do companies not get things right first time - I'm so sick of wasting my time and energy in trying to sort things out when they go wrong

Well, think I'm all sorted with Vodafone now. Part of the bills are correct as it turned out that some of my holiday calls while I was abroad were included in the bill but the rest have been refunded. This means that I will be paying £25 this month instead of the £50 then things should settle back into my package of £15 per month. They've also re-instated my itemised billing (they say they forgot the re-load it when I changed packages...) and have sent me copy statements of the itemisation for the last two months so I can see where I am now.

I've got another three bids on books so thats good. I mentioned above that I must be more organised and re-list unsold ones straight away which I've done and one of the three that has a bid on at the moment is a re-listed one so it just goes to show the benefit of keeping on top of them. What I need to do now is just constantly re-listing so that I always have some on the go - so much easier than letting them lapse and doing them all over again
