    Hi all

Just to report that I've been given a 3% pay rise which I'm quite happy about as I'd half expected there might not be one!

Not much to report on the MFW front, I think I'm in that place that I've seen others reach whereby I've done all the relatively easy stuff but now it's pretty much down to just making the monthly OP's which never feel big enough do they

I've also not been able to spend much time on here - about an hour put together in the last month I'd say so I'm also losing touch with some of your diaries :o

I hope you are all doing well

    Regards

Thanks Evab - you are right about that!

Some good news on the Vodafone front (who I have my personal mobile with), following some problems and dire customer service they have agreed to drop my monthly payment by £5 for the next two years and refund a £5 charge they had told me nothing about; the £5 a month refund therefore works out at £120 so I'm pleased about that as my mobile is always something I keep a close eye on!

Following me signing up to a Br Gas maintnance contract they are coming today to do the annual boiler check. I've no reason to believe there wil be any problems as it is only two years old but fingers crossed they don't find anything wrong:rolleyes:

This last month has been a tough one as the credit card bill came in for my holiday etc but that's all paid now so onwards and downwards with the mortgage:j

I've just realised that my diary has had it's first birthday this month;) It was the 1st April last year since I made my very first overpayment of the princely sum of £50!

Since then I've overpaid by a total of £6350 which is an average of £529 a month. Overall I've made reductions of £9020 so far. Although I'm pleased with this it's still not the OP of £800 per month that I'd need in order to meet my MFW date in 2018 (gosh, how scarey does that sound). I always new I'd take a year or so to build up to the £800 pm OP so I'm not too concerned as I'm sure I'll make the £800 a month OP come quarter three this year and I've also benefitted from the interest rate dropping from 5.25% when I started this to a current 0.5%

Happy birthday dear diary, happy birthday to you makeawish.gif
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Spooky - when I said it was my diary's birthday this month i was basing it on the fact that I made my first OP 1st April last year but I've now just checked page one of my diary and see 6th April was when I made my first entry - so exactly a year today!

I think this proves why the diaries are so useful for us as you can see real progress here whereas without then you can lose sight of some of the facts and improvements along the way. Well done on your ramping up to that £800 per month.
