- Update CV
- RING COUNCIL Leaving this for the minute as I got a letter through yesterday saying I'm getting the "school clothing allowance" but I got the letter twice so we'll wait and see. So I am getting the benefits in theory.
I hope I win it as it looks like it contains a skirt I was after but couldn't get yesterday in town

I've just had the shock of my life - I plugged the iron in and switched it on, then realised how long was left on an auction I'n bidding on so went to switch it off and there was this MASSIVE spark and all the electicity in the house went off! Damn thing tripped the main fuse! The socket is now scorched and I'll call the landlady in the morning as everything is fine but I'm not impressed as its a socket that was replaced by her electrician because the one that was there had a faulty socket that was constantly switched on
ETA : I won the auction! Works out at less than £1 a skirt for 5 skirts!!!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Mudbath might be worth putting some vic vapour rub under her nose (if she can stand it) to 'melt' the snots to help clear them
Great news on ebay win Nicki, not so great on the electric issueOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Sensible? But I do believe in little things like that. If only because it helps you partition the thought and then go away and do something else. Once you don't focus on something, your subconcious has a chance to delve and work it out for you.
See you even gave a sensible answer for why you do it:p
Dinner done, chicken casserole - lovely on a cold day. DS1's is in the AGA keeping warm as he is not back from golf.
Apple pie cooling. DS2 had a bath after footie and DS3 a shower after swimming so they are ready for bed. Just need to go and make the beds!

Evening everyone,
had a fab time at the wedding, even if it has really made me suffer today. I have been so exhausted and achey, and walking like a 90 year old.
Been a semi-productive day:- unpacked bag from last night
- load of DS's dark clothes packed
- watched rental DVD so that can be posted back tomorrow
- worked out what else i needed for my hospital bag and a bag for DS
- went and bought it, mostly using up Boots points
- bought myself 3 books i wanted with birthday money
- Got DS some more nappies
- went to MFI to work out progress on missing bit of wardrobe - and the blasted fitter hadn't ordered it from the 1st of April, although now it is ordered and it should get started
- bathed DS and got him to bed
- investigated style/size/price of sofa beds
- bought 2 birthday cards and a wedding anniversary card
happy birthday to those who i missed while away.
Michelle, x0 -
Doggy doings done!!! I swear I'm going to stop feeding them! Kids kicked out for a little while in the grden as the weather brightened up a bit, DS2 still out there playing with the dogs after we've played football, well sort of, for a bit. Decided to come in and do a little more of my assignment while he wears himself out as I can keep an eye on him from in here.
Pleased you had a good time Michelle, even if a little exhausting.
Mudbath, it is interesting but this one was quite awkward. I met her at a course and our boys were at the creche there, she said he'd been diagnosed with 'severe learning difficulties and behaviour problems' well as soon as I seen him I knew. It stood out to me as my other friends son has it. Anyway I said nothing, I didn't want to incase I was wrong, she said she was seeing a consultant soon regarding something and he needed to have FX test done, well I just hoped they'd pick up on it. They didI seen her a few months later and he'd been diagnosed, I didn't think that consultant would miss it like the psychologists etc have. I then could admit I thought it was aswell, she understood why I said nothing, I am no expert/doctor. I am pleased as I know I would have had to mention my concern if they didn't and suggest him being tested as it's so much easier with the correct diagnosis to get the right support instead of him bein labelled naughty.
Well it's assignments work, then boys ready/in bed and get laundry away while they are settling, then more assignment work, and I think that just about explains my night. One day I might be more organised...........
