Why oh why didn't I notice that my ebay account still had my ISP email as where the paypal payment should go to? I can't revise the ones with bids on so instead I'm going to have to keep checking the ISP email all day to try and make sure I don't miss a payment tonight and until everyone has paid I'm going to have to keep checking it! :wall: I hate it as I get about 200 SPAM emails a day on there on a good day :wall:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Hi everyone.
LG - sorry to hear about your bad day at work - it must have been horrible to witness that.
Johanne - WOW - look how much you've got done - don't forget to listen to pigpen's [STRIKE]orders [/STRIKE]advice about resting too!
Not a very good night's sleep for us - DD2 woke up at midnight, just as I'd turned the light off to go to sleep and was sick. We were then up with her until 3am with her being sick every 20 mins or so. Fortunately there wasn't much but it was really hurting her tummy, poor thing. Saying that she seems OK this morning. She's only had a 1/4 of a piece of toast and a bit of juice (staying away from anything milky) but she's bright enough.
Here's my list for the day:
Dry DD1's hair
Bath and dress DD2 - she still smells sicky - urgh!
Go to Trafford Centre to get new glasses for DH (good job he got a bonus this week)
Cook tea while DH watching football (tuna pasta bake & garlic bread)
price up toys for sale at toddler group tomorrow
sort out ebay stuff to post
Do lots and lots of washing and drying
HHI (not that much fortunately)
put all of DD1's washing away.
Off I go to start on task no. 1. See you later.:wave:0 -
LG - hugs, that must have been so distressing for you.
Happy birthday for yesterday to Miss mudbath
tia - I love AnW's mum's advice!! My OH is usually rubbish at presents. One year, despite reminders, he didn't bother to take the children to buy presents or cards, and I had only one from a friend. after that I took the children myself, and treated myself to something on his behalf. I did get a great Christmas present this year, so it's not totally hopeless!
Sun here after rain earlier. I'm supposed to be at the allotment, so will be off in a minute.
Dusty - I bought the guttering yesterday, the square one you recommended, and had it cut and sown with peas within half an hour! I treated myself to a small electric propagator yesterday, so after lunch I shall be sowing tomatoes, peppers, chillies, and some flowers!! I do already have a larger propagator in the greenhouse, but the seeds don't seem to be doing very well in there this year.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
DH is back in the good books, he arrived home with the requested takeaway and a HUGE jewelry box. One of the ones that all open and pull out and it has a lock! :j Then I got a neck and back massage before he fell asleep on the sofa, which was just as well as I had ate too much! I must be getting old to pass up on an opertunity for make up sex....
Goint to read these nestle cereal spiderwick books to DS1 before he trips over his tounge!0 -
Morning all.. I think we still just fit in the morning slot! lol
One of the other 2 nails I whalloped yeterday broke last night while I was out.. so I whizzed out my phone to find the bit on the floor in the dark and found my piece of nail and 20p.. so the 20p went in my bag and I glued the piece of nail back on! 2 of the nails are really painful today..
Off to the Asda PO today to get these 3 parcels sent off.. and I have to find the sofa in the back room to freecycle and the boots I MUST post.
LG.. hugs hunny.. what a horrible shift that must have been very upsetting.. the good thing would be.. a. he was not alone and b. it was quick and hopefully pretty much painless for him. I hope you manage to get some sleep.
Johanne.. make the most of still being pregnant.. nice baby gets here it will feel like you never were and it will feel like you've had a baby about forever!
Over £50 on my ebay sales now.. plus the £40 in my paypal so things are looking up.. most listings finish tonight so hopefully we will hit the £100 markLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi everyone
Was moonlighting yesterday where I used to work - so a belated birthday Tia!
Hugs to everyone in need esp LG and Johanne.
Having a nightmare here - I've lost my wedding ring:eek: . Have turned house upside down. Last seen Thursday evening (I take it off when I get home from work). Couldn't find it in the rush to get out the door on Friday but just assumed I'd been a numpty. When I got home Friday night - couldn't be found anywhere. Kids and DH searched yesterday whilst I was at work and I took over last night. If anyone has any positive thought going spare I could do with some!
DD1 is off to a craft party later and DD2 and DS are going to play at the nearby pirate playground so should be fun. Am off to search through contents of dyson just in case.
See you all later!0 -
Ginger girl - my best friend and I swear by 'pinning the devil' when she's lost something.
Basically, get a cushion and a pin, think about your lost ring, say out loud three times "I pin the devil" then stick the pin in the cushion (you can remove it afterwards!). And then get on with something else. The lost thing will turn up quite quickly. Spookily, it works for me and my best friend....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

hugs likklegibbon, that is a horrible thing to happen in front of you. Make sure you talk about it with your OH or someone close.
hugs too for you Johanne as I am sure you need them today. Try to get some rest too.
PinkFairy it sounds like you have your hands full with Dss girlfriend.I had a boy turned up here the summer before last and lived with us for four months until I tracked down his dad. Noone seemed to miss him which was worrying. It was such hard work with a disturbed teenager as well as my four. We now realise that we should have contacted social services.
The lad is now 18 and has been ringing here two or three times a day as he wants to come back and live here. We can't take him as he has stolen things from us in the past. But I still feel sorry for him.
today DH has done three loads of washing and hung them around the house! DS2 is still in bed. I think he is depressed. He left uni in February and hasn't really done much since. I have had him boarding my lounge ceiling. I'll try to take a photo of it sometime. I did suddenly realise that he could sign on for Job seekers allowance but they just keep sending him petrol station jobs and that makes him feel worse. I keep telling him that anything is better than lying in bed! I try to motivate him but it is difficult.
Right I am going to do some flying, bathrooms I think!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
