evening ladies and you smutty ones too.
Did really well in the garden. The bit which was being returfed (with the stuff we dug up) is done. Potatoes planted and all the soil swept up and baggged. Guttering cut. I really feel that the hardest and biggest jobs are over now. Just need to get another bag of compost when I go to pick up DS1's cricket shoes this week. Planted up loads and loads of pots of mint roots in pots from the scrap store so once they start growing I'll put them out the front for people to take.
I got DH the new wii kart game whilst in town so he is happy and a new top for my next lot of invigilating, still struggling to find a smart pair of navy troussers - any ideas? I prefer plain at the front, no gathers etc and pockets on the back.
Time to run a bath for DS3 as he has had 2 late nights so no bath and I'm going to speed clean the bathroom whilst DH puts clean bedlinen on our bed.

Tia - happy birthday - hope OH gives you your 'present' later. But what you have to remember is, men were given a brain and a .... (not sure what word is acceptable on here) but only enough blood for one at a time!
Lil-me, embb & Taffy - well done on the weight loss
Moam - good news yesterday
Jjef - gld your feeling better
Why am I so sad that I'm making more headway on my list on a Saturday night than during the day. Oh well, off to eat and then finish the kitchen off.Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board0 -
Evening, boys in bed, they were driving each other insane and me....Not done as much studying as I would have liked today, mind not been on it, think I might try and do some more tonight. I didn't even get all the laundry put away but catch up days always Sunday for me so can do more tomorrow....my excuse and sticking with it.
I'm quite shocked but at the minute I am quite enjoying 'I'd do anything' I don't usually like these sorts of shows, I will watch when there is nothing on, but some of the girls have made the show worth watching, some amazing talent. Jodie, I just adore that girl, she's brilliant! One day I might be more organised...........

:bdaycake: I think I've missed a few while I've had my visitors! There seems to be a lot of April birthdays amongst us. (I'm counting backwards later this month!)
Buffy - I've got a doll's house too! Not had chance to do much with it as I've been too busy with work and house stuff, but it only cost £5 in a charity shop, so I wasn't going to let that go. I've got the lights etc for it. (One of these days.........)
I've got piles of washing done and drying (all the guest bedding), but I'm missing my friends now that they've gone home. I flew into town this morning as my Mum's locket broke, fortunately in the house, so that's in the jewellers, then I had to take DS to the hairdresser and home via my brother's for coffee.
I've also begun my Action Plan to turn the sunlounge into the study, and the study back into a bedroom in case DS's girlfriend moves in later this year. I've stripped the wallpaper on one wall of the sunlounge (woodchip -), so I'll try to do the rest of the room tomorrow then I can start decorating, before we move the PC.
With regard to the girlfriend, Social Services called the Mum yesterday and have arranged to visit on Wednesday. Of course, Mum blamed daughter and has apparently guessed it was me that called them - who else, when she turns up on my doorstep in distress. Anyway, hopefully, at the very least, they will talk to them all and perhaps offer counselling/mediation or something! If we can only get her through to November when she's 16, she can decide for herself what she wants to do. DS's friend has said he will drive up and collect her if they move before then. He's a good boy - not the same horror I had in my Sunday School class 14 years ago!!!;)
Oh well, off to do a bit of knitting, so goodnight all. Hopefully, I'll be back to proper flying next week.DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

Evening ladies
Happy Birthday Tia!
I had a wonderful lie-in this morning until about 11am when it hailed  Then I stayed in bed reading "the secret life of a slummy mummy"Went for a bath, spoke to my mum on the phone and then went shopping in town on my own. I went to buy shoes and clothes, came back with

I went "shopping" in Dorothy Perkins, Next, River Island, Peacocks, M&S, TKMaxx, Evans and George, then I braved Primark  I swear I don't see the appeal of that shop
The queues for the tills on ALL floors we're ridiculously long and I dont think I saw anything I liked in there enough to warrant buying it with those queues :rotfl::rotfl: But I now know what I do and don't like in "smart" wear so I'm happy, but not willing to pay £65 in Next for 1 jacket
:rotfl::rotfl:
Now I'm settling down for the night with the TV and laundry! Oh the excitement of my life never ends. I suppose at some point I should also wash some dishes but hey ho, they'll still be there in the morning :rotfl::rotfl: :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 - Tomb Raider on DVD (was in Oxfam though so £3.99

DH has gone out and the bed isn't made - I've told him he can make it when he gets in - drunk or not!:rotfl:Mind you I'll probably be in bed by then so I'll have to make it myself!
I suppose I'd better move and shift this stuff.

I was cleaning the bathroom just now whilst DS3 was in the bathroom and he said:
'You need cilit bang - bang and the dirt is gone' I couldn't help but laugh, the power of advertising.
DS2 in the bath now so I just have the bath itself to do once he is out. Going to quickly do the downstairs loo whilst I have all the stuff out.
DH on the wii trying out his new game so one child down already - no two - think I'll sort that out straight away! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
That's my next book to read - it's waiting for me upstairs - is it any good?
Yes its good. Had me laughing out loud in a few places. DD is starting to think I'm loosing it I'm sure:rotfl:
Next I'm reading "The undomestic Goddess" by Sophie Kinsella. I've read a couple of other books by her and I'm looking forward to this oneCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
