Tia, I'd be huffy, everybody should be thoroughly spoiled on their birthday. Maybe you should spoil yourself today if he won't.

The house is all tidy again. It dawned on me too that I'm working both days next weekend making that 12 days in a row at work..groan..I think the rest of today will involve meal planning and freezer cooking. I've been eating really badly while I've been busy at work, my skin is awful and the grocery challenge is out of the window.
Washload #3 on. Going to make a start on the ironing while I listen to the football. Not a big fan usually but it's a big match for my team today and lots of my friends are there having a big boy's jolly. Come on you Blues!!

Tia def agree with GandB's i would too be livid. My oh didn't get me a mothers day card 2 years ago put it this way he hasn't forgot a card since, my mum now gets them for him:rolleyes: . I did make a fuss too but in the end i let it go and when his birthday come i bought him a card and pressie but rather than make a big fuss i just handed it to him. Since then he does make a little more effort, but nothing to shout from the roof tops about. Here have a big squidgy dodgy 3 some hug ... :grouphug: :D .

Well my last post i moaned about kids, its lookign better now:p my brother come back from work about an hour ago and has decided to go swimming, so he has asked the 2 eldest to go, Jack has gone to get daddy from the airport and Sean is now in bed. I am now having a crafty ciggy and a cuppa coffee and than i am going start the blitz. tbh if i crack on it shouldn't take more than an hour:rolleyes: lets see

Oh Tia how horrible for you, I had a neat trick for DH, we had our intials and wedding date engraved on the inside of our wedding rings. No excuse for forgetting that one ;) He was very good at remembering dates for us 4 but remembering the extended family was down to me!

I would go any buy something on HIS credit card that you have wanted for ages which you couldn't justify/have talked yourself out of and tell him 'look darling do you like this that you have bought for me' :D and make sure it's expensive!

Not getting very far at all. Bed stripped and washed and now on the line and that is it! Kids have done the tidying they were asked to and I did have a lovely 20 minutes planning my crop rotation on the kitchen table. Popping out to do 30 minutes in the garden before the rain I hope.

Tia biggest hugsI know how you feel. I wont make excuses for him but in the words of Dr Phil 'some people get it and other don't'. I hope somebody else makes your day special, kids, friends, mum etc. Next week can you plan some time to spoil yourself?

Emmb - well done on the weight loss. I'm sooo jealous!

Tia - Is it possible our DH's were seperated at birth? No flowers for valentines last year, mothers day I just got cards kids made (They were lovely don't get me wrong) FORGOT! my birthday last year.
I got a nice card for christmas and nice pressies(my mum and sister helped!) Flowers for valentines(he went and ordered them in the middle of January after being reminded it was valentines in a month) Mothers day got some gardening stuff(dd1's idea, made him go get them) Birthday coming up soon and expecting something nice as he is piddling off to Newmarket races with his buddies on the day!!!!!!!! I will make the most of this, you can be sure!

Have a great day Tia, go out with a friend and let him be on his own, men sometimes have no idea. Happy Birthday.

Sorted downstairs, been to butchers, spent £45!!! Meat for a couple of weeks and a few veg so not too bad.

Girls friend round to play, having a little surfy then off upstairs to tidy and sort the bags of clothes for charity/loft. Clean bathroom, hoover upstairs and down stairs and thats it for today!!!!!!!

By the way, found an online teaching assistant course which says it is the equivalent to and NVQ level 2 and is recognised by the teaching board. It's called ABC Teaching Assistant (voluntary work based). Have any of you wonderful teachers heard of it at all?

Back on later, see you's laters
Need to sort my life out! :T
