Almost lucky the gas man didn't turn up - I'd have probably gone out otherwise.

warning - this is a rant!!!

 the benefits office are totally cack in my opinion. after being told i could still claim incapatity benefit if i paid the £8.30 i owed them (which they've never told me until now that i owed) they're now saying that i can't claim anything for 6 weeks as a penality for late payment. funny they didn't mention that before. so, i was cheerfully informed that as long as i was still not working by the middle of may i could make claim. it was then suggested maybe i shouldn't go straight back to work and then i could make a claim. i get my plaster and fixture off next tuesday (hopefully) and have my first client booked on thursday, i'm not choosing not to work i physically can't.
    aggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

    ok, rant over:D

    dress codes for teachers.

Have to agree with what pigpen says about kids respecting teachers more who are covered up, and not flashing bits. They also hate it when teachers have hair dyed trendy colours (reds/purples) and have piercings/tattoos on display, or wear lots of jewellery. At secondary level they aren't daft, and they hate hypocrisy in any form.

Our school is being rebuilt for September, and to improve school ethos they were asking kids to suggest what teachers should wear, and they want us to wear certain colours and a blazer. I personally wouldn't mind, as it would take a lot of effort out of thinking of what to wear, and can't be any more expensive than an M and S suit, and probably more hard wearing. Suits definitely make you 'feel' more confident and professional. I bought some for September, and then found out i was pregnant within the 1st week of being back, so they only fit for a few weeks, but will provide a target to slim back down to.

:T Right, self praise time, i have a beautifully clean and tidy desk/computer area. this also includes the phone. I also washed up all the breakie and lunch dishes.

Next jobs - get washing out of WM, fold and put away. Tackle some of dining table school work pile, pop to supermarket and then pick DS up. I have to confess that i also started making my rug today, so must have spent about 11/2 hours on that. Not bads though as i am supposed to be spending some time on my bum, and things are being taken back to the empty and sorted stage.

Right, going to list check, and then get on.

    Michelle, x

Wohoo well done Michelle, luby and everyone else

    Happy Birthday Sharon :D

Kitchens done apart from mopping the floor, sitting room was done (until DS2 just covered the sofa in crumbs will sort in a mo) another bag full flung from my bedroom :D vacuumed the spare dog off all downstairs floors. Undersink cupboard was a nightmare, those rotating rack for corner cupboards seem a great idea, until everything keeps falling over, you forget where the pipes are so that knocks them over etc.

Shock horror - I got a coffee and scone in bed this morning - maybe he's noticing I was a little annoyed with him, not often he does something like that, think it's the third time ever...oh and he went for DSs prescription without moaning when I asked if he could pop in on his way past...usually he'd moan, leave it or just say 'oh I forgot you'll have to go'.

Done some study time, brain hurts :rotfl:

Window cleaners been, yuk, those marks on the double doors from the dining room are on the inside :o See we've had the curtains closed most of the time, window cleaners face when he seen my lizard as he was cleaning them :rotfl: Must do those in a mo, I think it's dog snot or something, ewwww!

Coffee, emails and online banking next (woohoooo £1.15 extra from child benefit a week from this week- don't know how but we're still on weekly payments from when I was on my own buy not moaning)
One day I might be more organised...........

Does anyone fancy a HHC from 4-4.30?

If so, would you like to do it to my house?

    Happy Birthday Sharon.

Dusty Kitten - thanks for asking, still very shakey, but less chokey so hopefully getting better. Need to get my potatoes and the aspargus planted asap so it has to stop soon.
