Nicki teachers outfits - depends on if the school has a dress code or not. I have to say i am more smart/casual, particularly as i have been in maternity wear for the last 3-4 terms i have taught.

trousers/skirts - i have in a variety of colours. Blacks/greys/browns for winter, lighter weight, usually patterened cotton ones in summer to wear with a one colour top.
shoes - i usually wear quite flat boots or shoes unless it is parents day, in summer i wear open toed shoes to get a bit of circulation
tops - jumpers usually in winter as no ironing required ;), shirts/blouses/short sleeved T-shirt type in summer/

We are not allowed to wear cullote type trousers as they banned them for the kids. I steer away from strappy stuff or anything too low cut as you never know when the boys are trying to peep, and i bend down a lot to talk to kids/see what they are doing in practicals.

I was thinking about the bending down as well - I'm planning on teaching Business Studies/ICT so lots of bending to look at the computer screen. Problems for me now in that I'm going to need to buy some new bras (that means going to M&S to be measured again as I've shrunk :rotfl: ) and I will HAVE to buy some tops, I don't think any I have would be suitable to wear since this is my favourite top :

:o:rotfl::rotfl: Hmmm... May have to get the sewing machine out and look at putting some "false camisole" type things on my lower cut tops which are only low cut as I have such a large chest! That might work for a while, until I can justify going out and buying new stuff as well as putting food on the table! :o

I've FINALLY done that letter to the credit card company and used a second class stamp I found from about 3 Christmases ago :rotfl: Just about to print out a "flylady" list for DD. She has the option of doing those chores to earn extra pocket money ;) If she doesn't do them its no big deal though :rotfl: I'm just trying to make her realise that you have to earn your money in life not just expect it to be handed to you ;) BUT pocket money off grandparents doesn't count as needing to be earnt :p:rotfl:

    Right, next job.....

Sharon - happy birthday to you! hope you have a good day - why are you flushing out the washing machine on your birthday?!?!
Amanda - welcome to the madhouse
Embb - i used to have the excemption certifcate which is if you earn less than a certain amount. however, i chose to pay the voluntary contribution which is about £8.40 a month. this entitles you to certain benefits (well, it's supposed to but that's another story).
Hex - my arms in plaster from breaking my wrist (or having it broken for me!!). hopefully only another week to go.
Dusty - hello! i go back a week today and please please please get it taken off. i'm so excited but a bit scared about how much i'll be able to use my wrist. anyone any experience of how it will be?
pigpen - hope you're rsi improves quickly. welcome to the club that no one wants to belong to!

been out shopping this morning  . two pairs of trousers, two pairs of shoes, some cheese and a pie:rotfl: . there was a market stall right outside the clothes shops. guess i need to start my list now.

How did it happen in the first place - I think you did it before I joined.

Oh dear - LO just woke up screaming - best go see what's wrong and try to settle her back down again if I want a quick bath before school pick up.

    .

i got pushed over by someone's trolley in ikea....dangerous places!! on the positive side though - every draw in my house is organised. i've given 19 bags of 'stuff' to the charity shop in the last five weeks. my children (7 and 8) have really started helping out in the house and i've had lots of great days out with friends which i don't normally have time to do :D xx
