Why do I have to keep logging in twice? Anyway, done some of my list but got sidetracked in littleys room - boy she's got some stuff not even made a dent in it really but the floor's clear so that's something, got a large bin bag of rubbish/stuff to fling and hung up all her clean clothes, we bought one of those shoe tidy things for her wardrobe at the w/e so that's up and filled, flung some old shoes etc etc...I really need to get in the big white cupboard of death (open it and something will fall on your head) but I've run out of time today *tuts* I'm just in the mood too.

Gonna have another quick cuppa then get ready for work, littley's busy finding something to wear and sorting out some outfits to take to nanas as she's getting picked up this afternoon and staying there till Thursday woot! I'll miss her though, it's so quiete when she's sleeping out. best get shifted...laters lovelies :hello: x

    Morning all :D

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHARON! :D

I'm having one of those days here. DD got into bed with me this morning for a cuddle as she was feeling a bit sad so we were talking and the next thing it was 7.55am and we usually get up by 7.30am at the latest  So mad dash around getting her sorted for school as I just left everything after tea last night so needed to wash her lunchbox out and stuff like that :o BUT I remembered to photocopy my passport & birth certificate (I did both as my birth certificate isn't a full one so I wanted to be sure that the OU can't find fault with my application for finance :o ) and took it into school to get the headmaster to sign it. He couldn't but the chair of governors was there so she did it for me as she's also a "justice of the peace" :D So being a former parent governor does have its advantages! :rotfl: I just need to fill in my account details and sign it then take it the job center tomorrow afternoon and get the girl to fill it out for me in regards to my benefits claim and I can post it - good job too as it needs to be in by the 11th :o Mental note *SET MY DEADLINES 1 WEEK AHEAD of what they should be once I start the studying* :o

My plan for today is to tackle the email (2500+ mostly SPAM though  ), do any other paperwork that needs doing, and look to see if I can set up a budget based on what I know about my finances so I can try and figure out if I can afford to buy a tumble drier yet or not. I need to get one of those, then a new mattress for my bed, then it becomes things I'd like to buy (like a freeview box which I can record on - currently £79 in Asda ;) ) not to mention the fact that I need to buy some new clothes, which reminds me:

Those who are teachers, especially secondary school ones, can you give me some idea as to what is appropriate clothing to buy to wear for work?
I currently live in jeans, t-shirts and trainers so need to smarten up but don't know what sort of things I should be looking at buying that are "appropriate" for a teacher.:o

Right, need to get on with this admin stuff. Kitchen and livingroom are looking okay so I might just leave them for now and just hoover (and dust) them on Friday.

Right, I've rung the tax people I'm now registered as self-employed, it was one of those things that I kept putting off (you know what I mean) but noticed there was a £100 fine if I didn't do it within 3 months - that spurred me on lol I was asked if I wanted to pay NI contribtutions errrr I dunno.. do I..

If you are employed as well and your SE profits come to less than about £5k (would need to check the exact figure) then you can apply for an exemption certificate as your NI payments from paid employment would cover you for benefits etc. If you are only SE then it is worth paying the £2 odd per week NI payments to protect your entitlement to benefits. PM me if you need more info and I'll dig out my paperwork.

    Hello All!!

Will be trying to post my lists here to keep me in check. Not much done so far. DD1 first day back at school so getting back into the flow of things. Also had a driving lesson which I felt went really well, I actually "felt" like a proper driver, did all the manoevers ok too. Have booked a load more lesson upto test day so they come to over £500 - which is a bit scary! Hopefully if we can take my car out at the weekends/evenings a bit more I wont need all of them.

    So today I have:-

1 load of washing done and pegged out
    2nd load in WM now
    Tidied kitchen
    Tidied lounge

    Need to:-

Decided what to do for tea
    Hoover through
    S & S bathroom
Damage limitation in Littles room (going for 10 min fling about)

Best go check what todays list is meant to be too I guess. Will read back over posts later but hope everyone is well.
