Thanks for all your support, part of me felt like I'd failed because of having to quit. I know I shouldn't, it's not our fault, I know now after the relief felt that we've made the best decision. We're not in a real hurry to complete, DP is doing it because jobs are **** with just his onc/hnc qualifications and I am doing it to go into teaching but it'll likely be a few year before my consultant OKs it for me to return to work as I am far from being fixed. We can take the course again in January, we're still doing another 2 (all towards maths and statistics degree) so it's not as if we're doing less than they recommend. We'd chosen to do more which would have probably been busy but ok if we'd received everything on time.
Right, other things, eventually got in touch with Argos, seems their request to the courier to collect today went missing somewhere so they said could take it back in store. Took it back, got refund. Went to Ikea and spent over 3 times as much on a different one
but it's seriously comfy, a must with studying 40 odd hours a week at the mo studying on it and much better built (DP of course looking for design faults in the last one), can worry about that next month as it went on my card.....went to the Metro Centre, got D1 more school trousers **wonders if at some point I might have even walked pat Solway** got DS2s glasses ordered and pleased we went to a bigger opticians as managed to get some he was comfortable wearing, forgot to take my belt back but need to go back to collect DS2 glasses at some point. Got Matthew a great sweatshirt for his late Easter pressie, it's soooo cool. I will add up how much I pent on the plastic later, always a bad idea taking that darn card
Pigpen, might have an idea, will PM you....or have you sorted it, bah, I am useless at catching up on posts.
Oh and my sitting rooms a s*it tip of cardboard etc for recycling but sorry I am shattered and it can stay there until the morning when I'll sort it for the recycling bag (if it'll fit!)One day I might be more organised...........

PIgpen now you've paid for the course I bet you are glad. I did something similar and really enjoyed it. I'm thinking of doing a course, maybe to do with teaching assistant or gardening!!! i know, totally different. Cause DH works offshore it will have to be online/post and I'm now getting a bit concerned with all the work there is to do/receiving the stuff in the first place.
Need to sort everything out now to take to homebase tomorrow for them to design the most fantastic kitchen you have ever seen for £200!!!!!!!!!! Don't think so.
Catch up tomorrow ladies, hopefully. If not HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHARON1970 for tomorrow, hope you have a good day.Need to sort my life out! :T0 -
tia - what are you using for photoframes? i want to do this for dd's birthday sleepover.
i have an amusing problem - i've lost a chop stick up my plaster cast and i can't reach it. will have to get one of the littlies to try tomorrow. if they remove the cast and a chop stick drops to the floor i'll be very embarrassed!!
I was going to just use coloured paper. Cut it into shapes and get them to draw and stick stuff on, then stick the picture on.
Or make a scrap book. Fold coloured A4 paper in half, make into a binder with ribbon and stick in the pics.0 -
Mudbath, I am creased up about the chopstick up your plaster :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Pigpen, don't you just love it when you find a stash of money you'd completely forgotten about?
Right, I'm off to bed - to sleep, perchance to dream.
Have a good night ladiesI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

taffy, from what I have found out so far most of the courses via the OU people don't seem to have a problem with, on our last course at the tutorial we were the only ones not to receive some of the materials, the tutor helped chase it up, he was lovely. This one the main issue was they sent everything to the old house, changing correspondance address (where they send the bill and stuff) but not the materials dispatch one......Just had an email back from the tutor of the one we've withdrawn on, she seems really nice.
Blimey, I thought soappie was off to bed early, blinkin heck is that the time already! One day I might be more organised...........
