My council tax is the same as Pigpens, really enjoyed my 2 'free' months:D I'd get on to them ASAP. If you dont keep up payments(even if its their fault knowing the council) you lose the right to pay by installements.

That's what I thought, but I paid on 1 Feb. Perhaps I'd better ring them. Thanks very much.

Help I'm drowning in receipts :rotfl::rotfl: Just found a pile of recipts for Jans GC  Almost done now. Just an action pile (most of which I can do easily enough) and a "pending" one which is council tax etc, that I don't want to file away until I have confirmation its been sorted. Really need to start on the GC again as I'm sure I spent way too much last month and thats just based on the receipts I've found :o I need to pull myself together when it comes to little (well compared to something they're little!) things like that.

Right. I will finish this and never file the whole lot in one mess in the drawers again - I PROMISE :rotfl::rotfl::wave:

ETA: I'll also stop buying notebooks - I've got loads that are only partly used!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    Happy birthday michelle!:bdaycake:

I did the kitchen today - about Level 3, as long as you don't look down the side of the fridge...:eek:I'm waiting for next week when OH is off for a week so that he can pull out all the big appliances so I can clean.

Most of the snow has gone, and we have had some brilliant sunshine. I feel a bit coldy, so am not particularly tempted to go out.

I spent all of yesterday on the pc (most unusual for me!), checking prices and availability of hotel rooms and cottages. I have now booked the hotel for June, for DD and her friends and I to have a mini break.:D
I'm now looking for the summer family holiday. I'm thinking of the Loire Valley, for one week, then another week a bit more north, so we don't have so far to drive back to Calais at the end. OH isn't very keen on driving.

I was side tracked by a special offer on gites de france, for halfterm week, selected gites all over France, 200 euros for the week. I'm very, very tempted. I found quite a nice one in the north, about two hours from Calais... if OH pays for the crossing and the food as that's the way we usually split it, I may go for it! On the other hand, if I'm being sensible, it would probably be better for the children to stay home and revise as they all have exams this year...

I've had two texts from DD! I'm so pleased that she managed to let me know that she's okay and having a fantastic time. They got to the hotel at 2am on Sunday, had about three hours sleep before up and out sightseeing in Delhi. She texted again this morning at 4.40 am to say they were out again in an hour...and it was very, very hot. I don't think she believed me that it was snowing here!

  • Have been quite productive. living room floor has been swept but not mopped as I'll do it on the same day as the kitchen and do right through. DS is not himself at all. He has hardly eaten anything and is a real mooch. I am sick of Roary the racing car as we only have 3 episodes on tyhe skyplus and I must have seen them all at least 20 times. Am going to go and put the ironing away if I can separate myself from the toddler that is surgically attached to my leg!!

Hi everyone - bonus afternoon at home. S'posed to be back to school today but DM (who has my lovely brood of gingerkids when they're not at school) is poorly sick and my DF (who stepped in) has had to get back home to her. She's all sicky and achy and urgh. So, have snuck out from the office to 'work from home'!. Have just managed to update the dates on our school website and post next years term dates too - so not too bad. I feel like I'm 17 again and bunking off from sixth form though! At least this time it's not to frolic in the park with a bf!!

Am now going to do my level 2 and start making Jamie's meatballs for tea (after playing table football with DS). DD1 has just turned DD2 into a tiger courtesy of her face paints - reminder to kill my aunty for that particular present!!! (Hope the orange comes off before school tomorrow!!!).

Happy birthday Michelle!!!!!! and smiles to everyone else!!
