TOMORROWS LIST IS UP!!!
ok.. someone talk sense to me..
I went to college for 4 years.. doing dressmaking and soft furnishing.. In September I didn't go back.. they hiked the fees, I had to pay dinner money for 7 children instead of 2.. massive increase!
Anyway.. I have been given £30 towards the fees, still another £30 to pay though until July.
I HAVE to get the curtains made for the middle room, though I haven't actually got the fabric yet.. but until I get fabric I haven't anything else I want to make.. though I have a few bits I need to, or could finish off.
I really.. don't want to go.. but I REALLY need to get these curtains done and at 3m drop I don't have the space to do them at home... and I can't go tomorrow as I still have children at home.. Plus I can't afford the other £30 this week.. without taking it out of my christmas savings.
Thoughts please????.........LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen - are you friends with anyone at a playgroup/church/community centre where you could perhaps borrow a bit of time there to lay out the curtains, especially if you did as much as you could at home? Thinking of church hall for half an hour after something or before something. Or could you use a still spacious back room while something else is on?
I do really basic curtains and I sew them by hand while watching tv. They aren't brilliant, but I have weird sized windows so it is awkward to buy ready made.
DS refusing naps - but he is shattered, completely shattered. Sigh. Fortunately, apart from his injections, the only time he has really cried in the last six months is at the hoover, so I should get a bit of perspective.
Better get dinner on. OH can just watch DS while I get on with stuff - I am sick of it. But he has banned me from mentioning him on MSE so I'll bite my lip and get on.
Good luck with the curtains Pig penAlways another chapter0 -

Dinner done, need to tidy up out there.
DS1's cheeks looking redder by the minute.
PP do you have any idea when you will be getting the fabric for the middle room? If it is not for a good while then I'd not sign up until then - you don't sound that keen on the idea? Mince I have no idea but I cooked 500g for the 5 of us for sheppards pie yesterday with carrots/leeks/celery in it - done left but would have been if OH had not had seconds. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
