It is indeed so you can have two VoIP numbers.

You can have several phones attached to each line (number) as you would your standard service.

The PAP2 is pretty easy to setup, if you need any help, just PM me.

Right, i'm doing it. Ordering right now before I chicken out

    Thanks
  • At last i'm up and running (after nine hours sitting getting square eyes) only problem is when i dial 50000 to activate a personal greeting when i press "0" to choose the option the system doesn't seem to recognise the fact that i have pressed a number

In the configuration menu, enter admin and then advanced setup.

Under the Line1 or Line 2 section you will find an option: DTMF Tx Method:

    Set this to INFO
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

God, you are good, worked a treat

    Next problems:1.

when the voip is busy the caller ringing has to wait ages for the voicemail to start with just silence for ages If it was a proper caller not me they would hang up.

when the call goes unanswered and voicemail starts the caller only hears the last part of the outgoing voicemail message

    Any more excellent tips

    Thanks

Not sure why you are only hearing part of the message, when I have tested voicemail on the system, there hasn't been a problem. I however don't have voicemail switched on (only when testing) as I have another Sipgate number purely for voicemail that people ring if they can't contact me any other way.

I would try changing the following settings under the Line1 or Line 2 section

    Register Expires: [Set to 60]

Proxy Fallback Intvl: [Set to 180]

Is it just Sipgate you have on your PAP2 or do you also have SIP Discount or VoIP Stunt, so you can make free calls?

    hello
i have joined the sipgate but still i'm not able to use the x-lite on my computer.Actually my internet is coming via d-link 904 adsl wireless router/modem.i have done everything which is mentioned in x-lite help on the sipgate.co.uk but still it is not working.Whenever i am opening the x-lite -it displays detecting firewall( NAT).Even i have disabled the router firewall still it is not going through.Skype and other services like voip works well & all of them even i have uninstalled from my computer.May i know how to sort out the router port forwarding or any suggestions for the alternative software.Any suggestions!

The router you are using is a NAT router.

Have a read of: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-NAT+and+VOIP see if any of that sorts out your problem.

Have to admit, I am behind a NAT router, yet without any port forwarding both my ATA and VoIP software including x-lite work fine.

Not that that helps people who are having problems.
