Thanks,
Yep, this Br is also being dealt with in Nottingham.
You would think that the same office would deal with a similar asset in much the same way wouldn't you?
Just gotta wait and see what his letter says when it arrives and then tackle it head on from there.0 -
I know it sounds silly but did your OH make it clear that the caravan was not a luxury item but your current home and that without it, you would be homeless?
The only thing I can come up with is that the OR thought you had purchased the caravan as a holiday item rather than an essential living item.
Mind you, what I know about BR could be written on a postage stamp! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
yep, the OR said to hubby that he was well aware that I was living in the caravan with the kids.0

I expect that you and he were most probably the only ones to see it, fp. Even if others read it, they will soon forget it - today's news is tomorrow's chip paper.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

i missed seeing mine and my oh in the paper, when i spoke to the OR they said it went in the paper in the city, thats 20 odd mile away. Still someone spotted me on the website, made me chuckle when they said in code i no you no, huh, i no youve gone BR. Wow my big secrets out!!
They owe far more than me, so i expect they will be appearing in an advert near here very soon........
On a lighter note, the very worst is over, and tbh how many people actually really know your full name etc, and its old news really. All of us on this website have known about your BR for quite a while now and we arent bothered, in fact we all here to help and support you in any way possible,
Have a great WE, talks of rain in skeggy on sunday but enjoy the extended holiday and the great sea fresh air.

Well, so much for the homeless support unit. Insisted on hubby going in for an appointment and told him nothing really. Said we wouldnt be considered for a hostel and we would just have to apply to all the housing asociations.
Hubby spitting mad, wasted several hours going down to be told nothing, after being told that the whole purpose of him going down was to get on the housing lists. They didnt even have the forms there for him for their own housing list, he had to go elsewhere and fetch them!
Don't get me wrong, we didnt expect immediate housing, but you'd have thought the council would at least have been able to provide him with the forms for their own list!!!!
Goodness only knows why they asked for all our passports and birth certificates cos they werent even looked at.
Yet again a case of what do these people actually do?
I keep ecpecting a film crew to jump out and say "haha candid camera, we've been winding you up all along to see how far we could push you before you crack!"
A completely pointless excercise.0 -
Oh, forgot to say, hubby is pleased the 'paper advert has been and gone, just a bit miffed that he was the first on the list, at the top of the box!!!
Told him someone had to go top of the advert and it was sods law the way our luck has been going!!!!
At least it's gone now.0 -
Really down now. Have been keeping in touch with a few friends from the pub and have been on msn tonight and had a real dressing down for no reason.
Someone who I considered to be a close friend, who helped us move stuff and allsorts.
Has put me on a real downer cos a) I didnt deserve what was said and b) I have obviously lost someone I felt very close to.
I suppose at times like these you really find out who your friends are. Just what I didn't need at the moment. Gonna go and have a good cry now.0 -
