Wedding Dresses from China?

those who bought dresses from China...did you pay a lot for import duty/taxes? thanks

Dear all, I have recently ordered my wedding dress from China. I researched and looked at forums and (mostly) everyone seemed to agree that "Millys" were excellent. I found the website (with the butterfly in the logo as a friend described) found a picture of a dress I love and ordered it. Then I found out that there are TWO very similar named sites.... Milly Bridal and Milly Bridals.
Can anybody help me with some information about this. I have ordered from MillyBridals.com - so far they have been friendly, answered all my queries promptly and say they are working on my dress . Has anybody else used this company? I'd love to know what you think of them (good or bad) Or is MillyBridal.com the recommended company and have I made a massive mistake? I was so excited and now I'm just worried!

Has anyone had any experience with another Chinese supplier called EndenBridal?
I have seen a Pronovias dress that I love but am keen to find out other people's experiences with this site before I buy!
Otherwise does anyone recommend another site that makes Pronovias dresses?

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone would be happy to share pictures with me of dresses from china? We are getting married next easter after 10 years ! I would so love a 'real' dress but just can not justify the cost. I have seen lots of lovely dresses from china but carn't risk the money if i carn't wear it!

Also have you found a similar dress in this country to try on or do you just go fo it?

I am so excited I never thought we would do it after so long ! LOL !

Hi sally, i should recieve my dress from 5911victoria next week, so ill post some pics of it and me wearing it so you can get an idea of the fit, They have very good feedback, if you want to look them up, i ordered a provanias copy too:

I have a few piccys clients have sent but they aren't the best. (the dresses not the pictures!)
There are loads to see here most of which have the original next to the copy.
Now, please don't think I'm all against offshore as there have been some very satisfied ladies who have loved their frocks. Unfortunately, there are ladies who get the bad ones too. It all depends on what your expectations of your dress are.

Ive made the decision to order my dress online from china: inweddingdress.com

I looked through loads of these sites and then got a bit scared and didnt think i was brave enought to take the risk. So i looked at UK based shops - which had all the pictures i had already seen on the china sites just marked up 10 x the cost ! no way am i going to pay £1000 for a dress i can order myself for £100. Cheeky gits. :mad:

So this week im getting professionally measured to ensure i give them my correct particulars and the crossing my fingers that it'll all be ok :T

Has anyone else used this site? I have read reviews on the finalstitch forum which said it was a reputable one. And i guess if im paying via paypal im covered under there insurance.
