    Will do picklepick!

I sent them a picture of a dress that I wanted it based on but then told them of a few variations that I wanted but I've read comments on here that people have sent them sketches of what they've wanted and they've happily worked to them.

    Have a good Christmas everyone!
  • Hi Lady_A, I think Landybridal's are brilliant going on my personal experiences of them, I love my dress and the price was fantastic.

Don't know which seller my future DIL used on abay from a seller in China but it arrived in a jiffy bag !!!!! It was awful but they did take it back and she was only £16 out of pocket. The photos and description were wonderful but the product unwearable
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • hi i dont usually post but i need to on this 1...i bought a dress from china from ebay,, and it was stunning! honestly i was so surprised. it was only £99 with £30 p&p and well worth the money,, the material, detail, beads, embroidery absoloutly everything was perfect. and it wasnt made from cheap thin material,, i had tried on lots of dresses in shops and the dress i got was exactly the same, heres the link to the sellers shop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Sweetsend-Factory-Shop
i dont hav any pics to hand but honestly it was luvly.....

you dont need to spend thousands to have a perfect day,, on the radio around the time of my wedding which was 1yr ago,,,they said the average cost of a wedding wos £16thousand. well mines cost £1500 and i did not skimp on anything, i had the lot and my day was amazing. i got all my outfit from ebay (dress, veil, tiara etc..) along with alot of other things, and we had our reception in my hubbys football club so we got a big discount,, a family member made our cake which was just as good as from a shop so that saved us a few hundred.

so if you think ' aww we dont have the money to get married ' then dont!!! it CAN be done cheaply :D

I've heard good things about sweetsend too, but I'm sure I've heard they are in the UK.
  • Hi there, I am very new to this so if it is all wrong do forgive me!

I just wanted to say that I have herd about people getting dresses from China and getting landed with a massive import tax bill so that has put me off.
However there are several UK based sellers with Shops on Ebay which offer the same service at very similar prices to these ones from China. I have also looked at sweetsend and they are UK based, Reading area I believe.

My wedding isnt until 2010 so I am just looking at all the pictures for now as I promised myself that I wouldnt try on a dress until a year before the day! Its torture!
But it is really good hearing about everyone elses experiances of how to save those pennys. Thanks guys!
