  • Thanks for the tip everyone.

I live in Basildon Saff (South) Essex and we are ringed by superstores so great scope.

On a wider point, I really miss "Petrolbusters", not only did it give fuel prices
in concentric rings up to 25 miles of any post code, it was also a good way of getting a map showing the local Tesco.asda/sainsbury/morrison in a town you were driving to - as these were usually it that town's top ten best prices.

(I believe the AA paid 8 million for the site and then closed it down about 3 years later).

Anybody know of another petrol price comparison site ?

    Rgds,

    Mary

I too really need a fuel price comparism for my area- no time to drive around the garages, burning up all that expensive diesel.

Please fellow money savers, can you give any pointers? I don't really want to get locked into a "supermarket spend" discount scheme, unless the food is very inexpensive, as I'm a Lidl fan!

Try this site link as it seems the only site to the defunct AA one.

    http://www.findcheappetrol.com/

Beware though as it is only as good as the people who are populating it and it does not say when the petrol station's price was last updated so, particularly these days, it can become quickly out of date.

So come on you MSE anoracks help me to keep it up to date and help others to get the best petrol bargains in your area.

If you're fed up of paying almost £1 a litre for petrol, you might like to try buying on line at:

    http://www.petroldirect.com

I got 10x5litre bottles delivered to my doorstep for £30!

Watch out for the price promise as my local tesco's won't honour it. I have been speaking to head office about it!!

I use this one, just type in postcode and "hey-presto".

They don't state when they last updated though.
