Can anyone suggest a way top stop my dog weeing indoors?
He is fine overnight always clean, then during the day he sometimes won't go out and blatantly wees inside (is it territory marking??). I'm going to end up having to replace the laminate flooring at this rate. Any tips would be gratefully received.
BTW we are also clicker training him and giving lots of praise and treats when he goes outdoors.

our boxer used to do this when we went out and left him, i think it was some kind of protest or 'dont leave me indoors on my own' type message..
Not much help i know0 -
He does it when we are in the bloomin house! Today for example, I was making a cup of tea, turned round and there he was leaving a puddle. Made no effoert to go near the door or sniff round at all.0

Is there a reason you haven't posted the link as I am sure I am not going to be the only one who would find the site useful. My dog is doing the same thing and although we know why, it would nice to see some advice about getting him back to going outside.0 -
No problem
I'm sure they can help

I understand your reticence then.0 -
A problem I also had with my dog in the beginning. If you're in, put the dog out, preferably so they can't get back in, every single hour whether they want to go out or not. You could say something like 'everybody out' ( I have a few dogs hence the everybody!); hopefully the dog will eventually get used to this soon. I had no/little sucess with clicker training for the, ahem, business side of things.
Good luck! Its not a pleasant phase!0 -
Not a good idea to stop the dog coming in if he/she asks..It could end up making them nervous especially for a puppy..0
