When our dog was a pup he hated going out in the rain & one day he wouldn't go out when my husband got up at 6am for work, in the end i had to push him out at 3pm when he finally had a wee then came hurtling back in. Prior to this my husband had got up in the night to let him out at the dog's "request" but it was raining so he wouldn't go out, instead he ran back upstairs & pooped in hubbies slipper!!!! Fortunately he saw it before putting his slippers on UGH!!!!

    Hee hee hee.

QWhen training mutts, I reckon the best thing is to emulate their mothers.

Treat your pup as if you were topp dog of a pack.

Mum's tell off their pups and put where they want them to be, we should do the same.

Dogs, also emulate us. Although, in their natural environment, 'hugging' indicates confrontation, all out animals hug us, cos htey've learned that's what we do, it makes us happy, and they want to please.

So, it seems we all have much to learn from one another.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.
  • Just to add a bit to this our dog is a rescue dog and he was pretty cool when we got him quite well behaved good with the kids etc, but he will wee in my front room up the pine tv unit, there is not a lot that will stop him we have tried putting things in the way he just weed up them, weve layed newspaper down and he weed in a different place, weve tried vinager amoungst other cleaning agents so ive kind of accepted the fact that that is what he does i dont like it and think its disgusting and hate having to clean the carpet all the time, but what gets me most annoyed is the fact he only does this a night time and he never poos in the house unless weve forgotten to let him out! just to let you know that your not alone my dog pees too!
  • He wouldn't go out last night (it was raining)so we had to put one of those puppy training pads down. Absolutely refuses to go out if it's wet. If you force him out, he sits at the back door and howls. But he is getting better indoors generally.

    hi, hope someone can help.

My dog has just recently taken to pooing and weeing in the kids rooms, is there anything i can put down that will deter her from doing this. I don't have any problems getting rid of the smell, I always use bio washing powder. It is just stopping her from doing this.

I'm sure i remember something about lemon juice, but i can't remember if it worked on cats or dogs. Any help out there?

Do you know why she's suddenly started doing it? Is she ill? Has there been an emotional upset or new person/pet added to the house? If so, she could be marking her territory.
