All these folks have nuptuals coming up this weekend, good luck!
    5th September, Little Muvva
    6th September, princess 1974
    6th September, Nannis
    6th September, dormouse
    6th September, skipsmum

I have done my seating plan (and then last night noticed that I had made a mistake on one of the tables, glad I spotted it then and not the morning of the wedding! Also have just 9 more orders of service to punch and eyelet and they're done. I've done 50... But don't know how many people will come to the church so hope it's enough... I've started on the place cards, I'm sure I bought 4 packs of 10 but could only find 3... We've got 31 adults and 5 children coming so I've decided to mark the childrens seats with their goody bags and the Bride and Groom spaces now have little bell name card holders (a gift from the MOH) So I will just cut some card for ours... Do I put our names or just 'Bride' and 'Groom?

Bought some little teardrop beads from the bead shop in Lichfield yesterday, what a gorgeous shop! And plan to sew them in this afternoon while OH is at work... Need to find some white cotton first... Or might used fishing wire as it's clear...

    How's everyone else getting on?

  • I still don't feel like it is happening - It hasn't kicked in that it is less than 2 weeks away.

I went to church on Sunday for the reading of the banns and still couldn't picture myself walking down the isle, think i will onlt realise it is real the day before or just when i put my dress on :rotfl: .

Most things are sorted now, still have a few favours to make, cutting little cirlces out of tulle is fiddly and takes time but i have to do it :p

I keep having weird nightmares/dreams that things will go wrong, like my cake was miniature, not iced or stacked, the mens waist coats were wrong, my chocolate fountain was small etc etc.

I actually had a call from the chocolate fountain company yesterday and my stomach turned when she said the fountain i have booked is broken  . she said it has been sent of for repairs but may not be back before my big day! She said if this happens though she is willing to provide 2 smaller ones (only just smaller) then i can have 2 types of chocolate and have extra dip which is good, i would have milk chocolate as originally planned and for the 2nd fountain i will have pink chocolate as that is my colour scheme.

I think my dream was warning me about this maybe?? Well i don't mind anyway - i am starting to think i don't want the bigger fountain to be fixed as she sent me pics of the 2 fountains and they look lovely so really want the 2 now - we were thinking of 2 to begin with but couldn't afford it so to have them at no extra cost would be great :T

We have sorted most of the alcohol just the champagne left - we don't like it and think most others don't either - we can't afford a decent one and have heard that a nice sparkling wine is much better than a cheap champagne - someone suggested Asti - has anyone had this and do you think it is a good idea or do you have any other suggestions?

Having a dress rehearsal with bridesmaid on tuesday next week so looking forward to that.

Think i need to make a list of what is left to do as i really do keep forgetting that i don't have much time left and if i don't make a list i can see myself the day before panicking with so much to do

Our rehearsal is on the Thurs and the in laws are thinking of coming down then and staying down so it could be a fun couple of days before hand... Although I'll be rushing round getting wraps and tans and nails done!

  • Mine is on the Saturday but as of next Wednesday i have finished work so I will be doing all wedding things from then onwards as we have the rehearsal on wednesday night then sorting everything else until the day, we have a hotel booked for the wedding night then we drive down to stansted airport and are staying there for a night as we don't fly out for honeymoon until monday - we were upgraded to a suite in the 4* hotel which looks lovely - can't wait for it.

So mine will be over few days :j .

I am going to have my eyebrows done tonight, never had them done properly so hope they don't hurt to much :rotfl: .

I am in desperate tries to lose some extra weight during the last week but not sure how best to do it  .

Still have a few things to sort, really need to check my 'to do list'.

Good luck to all those getting married this week, hope the weather holds out. x

  • if you're worried about your eyebrows hurting when they're plucked try putting some bonjela or something similar on them to numb them first.

I'm a real baby when I have mine done and end up with my eyes running :p

Good luck everyone getting married in the next week, it's only 23 days for me and i can't wait. I've finished the seed envelopes and have started the tables/ place cards, i'm just worried about finalising them incase more people decide to not come.
