While I was not well recently,OH (non domesticated) made me some marmite on toast. Instead of just spreading on a tiny bit,he plastered it on thick.Yeuk! I couldn't complain as I didn't want to discourage his forays into food preparation.

I really love the 9p instant noodles too, although strictly speaking they cost a bit more as I usually add whatever veg is lying around & a dash of soy sauce and sesame oil.

My other favourite thing is if I have leftover rice, I fry an egg & mash that over the rice with a good dollop of soy sauce! I could pretty much live off that.
Proud to be a moneysaver :)

  • Make the rice first.

Whisk up some eggs (I just use 1 for myself). Chuck in a hot pan and mix around so it breaks up like scrambled egg bits. Put the rice in and fry with soy sauce. I like to put lots of soy sauce in. A splash of sesame oil is quite nice as well.

I love egg noodles, boiled for 4 mins with a handful of frozen veg, and a shake of soy sauce (I have this half the time for lunch!)

And of course tinned toms on toast :) Yum... x
