a dry but fresh pitta bread value ones are fine by me but i have it plain nothing it it or on it. I love them could just eat and eat them. had a major thing for them when i was pg with 3rd child could eat about 8 in a day.
also love syrup on toast will have that nearly every day
oh yeah a tin of new potatoes heated up and chopped up with butter melted in to it so it is a sort of lumpy mash have been known to add a tin of tun to that too.

While I was not well recently,OH (non domesticated) made me some marmite on toast. Instead of just spreading on a tiny bit,he plastered it on thick.Yeuk! I couldn't complain as I didn't want to discourage his forays into food preparation.0

Tinned tomatoes on toast with lots of brown sauce, mushrooms on toast with soy or sweet chilli sauce. Yum yum!**Trying my best to be the best that I can**

I really love the 9p instant noodles too, although strictly speaking they cost a bit more as I usually add whatever veg is lying around & a dash of soy sauce and sesame oil.
My other favourite thing is if I have leftover rice, I fry an egg & mash that over the rice with a good dollop of soy sauce! I could pretty much live off that.Proud to be a moneysaver0 -

Make the rice first.
Whisk up some eggs (I just use 1 for myself). Chuck in a hot pan and mix around so it breaks up like scrambled egg bits. Put the rice in and fry with soy sauce. I like to put lots of soy sauce in. A splash of sesame oil is quite nice as well.0 -
I love marmite on toast, topped off with mashed banana.... but then that's just me!

I love egg noodles, boiled for 4 mins with a handful of frozen veg, and a shake of soy sauce (I have this half the time for lunch!)
And of course tinned toms on toastYum... x
