Ironing is probably the one job I don't mind; stick a good play on R4 or some lively chat from Steve Wright in the afternoon and it's soon done.

I wish I could justify a cleaner, too, donny-gal. It would be a real treat! My lovely cleaner had turned 70 anyway, but carried on until OH retired and 'took over'! Ahem!!!!

:rotfl: I have a friend who swore that they dried things better if they'd been ironed. Since I very rarely use one - better to let things drip dry IMO! - I've not done any comparative trials.

It's probably me who's worst. And I'm not going to say how bad it is. I'd blame MSE, and still working, except that it won't be any better once I'm not working.

I'm pretty sure you are not the worst. My husband and I the other day looked at our ceiling and said 'oh look at that cobweb'. It's still there :o.

I do clean the toilets every day though.:rotfl:My son says I'm obsessive.

I think it's the cobwebs holding some of the ceilings up, and the less said about toilets, the better ...

About once a week I notice the cobwebs on the light in the hall. Then I forget them! :rotfl:

  • Bump..bump...bump....where are you all? I KNOW you are not ironing so you must be ski-ing and Ska-ting away from this dreaded English weather. Drove into a blizzard yesterday afternoon - I was not amused. Fridge and Freezer are stocked for what is coming in the next few days. They can't seem to figure if the south east corner is going to get a load of rubbish or not. Sigh....here we go again. Spring where are you?

  • Almond blossom and sunshine here, although still cold at night.

This is the most beautiful time of the year here; the mountains are green after all the rain, spangled with pink and white almond blossom as far as you can see and the air smells of almond blossom and menthol from the herbs.

    Gorgeous.

Its sounds wonderful 7DW , we are hunckering down for more ice and snow in the next week or so... can't remember having such a lot of snow and cold for so long.. maybe when I was quite small but in recent times NO!! I feel sorry for those who have to be out in it travelling I am fortunate that I can choose to stay inside if I want...Lets hope its over soon and Spring follows quickly.

The only flowers in the garden are a large beautiful clump of snowdrops but I did notice the bluebells and daffodils are just about visible as green shoots..

  • Sounds Idyllic SDW - it snowed last night but only a dusting thank goodness. Now the sun is out and its lovely. Cold but nice. I too have two snowdrops out, with lots more poking out of the ground. Hope they don't get flattened. Thursday is crunch day for the South East when a heavy band crosses from the North East, but they don't know how far inland it will come. Sigh... and there is Droopsnout sunning it up in St. Tropez and surroundings. No justice in this world!!

Well while I sat here typing we had a beautiful snow flurry, large flakes blowing in a strong wind, boy its cold but beautiful, the sun is out between the snow showers..... I need to go for a walk I'll have to wrap up ... SDW hope you don't get too much if they are indeed snowclouds...
