Glad to hear you are warm after your unsuccessful ski-ing, MC.

Is it warm in Spain now, SDW? Florida is back to normal - idyllic at this time of year. But I must admit, I am glad to be in my own home, in spite of missing DS and GF.

    Hi MC

The Earl of Doncaster is OK, but not anything special, the last dinner/dance we went to there was a few years ago and it was Xmas Dinner, which just about passed muster.

However, if you like shopping Donny can be good, and if you get there on Tuesday/Friday or Saturday the market is certainly worth a look.

    Hope you enjoy it.

Warm and sunny in the daytime, but at this altitude cold once the sun goes in. We light the fire normally around 6.30 pm.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
  • The morning sun is wonderful through our new window! Well worth two weeks of my Pension!

    Thank you!

No, I don't like shopping, and probably will not have time - Conference is usually busy. I note from their website that they have a new restaurant, opened this month, and we have Conference Dinner there on the Saturday night, which is always a lively occasion.
