We are considering funeral plans too. I presume it puts the money out of the clutches of our LA in case we need to go into care? (not that that is a thought right now!)

We are enjoying our retirement, and giving away our annual exemptions to our 2 children while we are still in good health, I have posted on your excellent thread kittie.

We were away 3 months (in our caravan) April/May/June, home to look after the house/garden in July and August, and away up north in Scotland in September. Now we are home over winter, booked to go off again for another 3 months starting 25th March.

The plan is to head to Italy for 6/8 weeks, take in Austria on the way back if we only spend 6 weeks in Italy, Then 2/3 weeks in England on the way home.

It's all go here. Have just booked a 3-night weekend getaway for our 10th wedding anniversary on 14th January 2012. https://www.tythehousebandb.co.uk

Then, Mark the tree man arrived. He and his mate are busy demolishing the overgrowth in the back garden. Neighbours' Leylandii, a curse. We'll have some daylight by the time they've finished!

It all costs money, but so what. Needs doing. And our anniversary - we're unlikely to get to 'silver' or any of those, so we celebrate when we can.

Not me - just trashed lots of cash so I can stay as often as I like on the North Yorks coast, going to Sheffield Meadowhall (hell) next week to trash some more cash in M&S, Lakeland and anywhere else that takes my fancy. Will be going to Waitrose at the end of the month to trash loads of cash for Christmas.
    That do ya ? ;)
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
