I thought things had been quiet on the SS front and wondered if you were getting your toes tanned abroad. Good to hear you enjoyed it.
don't know about my toes, but my sandal mark has been nicely topped up. :rotfl:now catching up on a week's worth of The Archers. Can't tell you how much I miss Radio 4 and fresh milk in my tea while I'm being foreign!

Hey, our SKI-ing for 2011 is now firmed up!

March 31 - April 5th- Nerja, Costa del Sol (Home Exchange)
June 10th -16th - Jaca, Spanish Pyrenees (Home Exchange)
July 2nd-8th - Norwich, Norfolk (Home Exchange and visiting family with American cousin)
July 9th-10th - Wolverhampton, West Midlands (Showing American cousin my home town and parts of Staffordshire and Shropshire)
July 23rd -30th - Sedgley, West Midlands (Dog sitting)
September 7th-22nd - Oxford (Home Exchange, two long lost friends are visiting)
September 24th-October 2nd - Sedgley, West Midlands (Dog sitting).

October 2nd is also our 40th wedding anniversary so we will be having a 'do' sometime around then, maybe the next Saturday (8th).

Not sure the dog sitting counts as SKI-ing as we are getting paid for it:T although we will frequent the local Chinese restaurant, Harvester Pub and Mad O' Rourke's Pie Factory whilst we are there.

Home Exchanges, imho, are SKI-ing the MSE way!:rotfl:

    Well done, SDW!

We've just booked Turkey with Saga, all-inclusive, although I did want a tour. We will be off to see DS and DIl in August (Florida) and take aunt back to Ypres sometime! But hang the expense!

Tesco vouchers for Eurontunnel, AI is good value and we stay with DS - so still MSE!

I do fancy home exchanges, but the thought of having to empty wardrobes and drawers!!!!!

You only need to empty ONE wardrobe (or even give them a clothes rail) and a couple of drawers, not all of them!!:rotfl:

:jHi folks and welcome to the sunshine and all the plans popping up. My humble plans are still in the planning but Friday I am off to Holland for a family celebration. After being stuck in the house for months I am longing for the trip out.

I have been grounded recently as my mother, at 98, looks like she is ready for the great knitting circle in the sky.:( She is tough and although the cancer is now taking hold she has fought it all the way. The head honcho at the home told me to go to Holland as it was impossible to guage when the end could come and in her opinion she is just likely to pass away in her sleep.

    We shall see.

SDW - Boy those are some plans you have for this year. Seems your lost weight has added lots more energy. Enjoy. Remember you have an open invite to call in for coffee if ever passing.

    Polly - Enjoy

Great to hear from you again, Janet. Sorry to hear about your mum.

Have a good time in Holland, though. Do you good to get out.
