I'm sorry if I have missed something here, but why aren't you sitting in the front and / or sharing the driving? Why can't the other person sit in the back with your children? Or take turns?

To be honest, I don't think the hotel is that much, it's in Maidstone in a Manor house and they have rooms there, it's just that there would be 5 of us going which means 2 cars (I can't sit in the back all that way with my 2, noooo way :rotfl: ) and it's the petrol for the 2 cars there and back which would be the killer, plus my OH having to get the day off work.

If it was just me going I would snap your arm off though!

I admit this is where we are lucky as we don't have to pay for petrol in the U.K 'perk' of dh's job. I moan like mad about how much tax we pay on this 'perk' but when it comes to things like this, I appeciate it.

Who's the 5th person btw?

i'm off to my boyfriend's friend's wedding next month...he paid for the flight so i would go (its in massachussetts), he is the groomsman. its still costing me over £700 as we're off to new york for a few days after as we may as well...argh :S

Sorry for being nosy, but which manor house? I live in Maidstone and am now curious!!!

Any way you could do the journey by train/coach/plane? Fly to gatwick if poss and get the train to Victoria then down to Maidstone?

Me too. I'm near Blue Bell Hill so about 15 minutes away!
