Will I run into problems by having two opened ISA accounts even though one has £0 in it?[STRIKE]30:22[/STRIKE]

No. Basically what you can do is open 1000 ISAs with £0 in, only one you are allowed to put new money into.0

Thanks so much Lokolo for letting me pick your brains [STRIKE]30:22[/STRIKE]

Omg... seriously, hence why I said in my post ' Write insutrctions on it'.......
Its not hard to write a nice formal letter saying the problem you are having and that you want money from you currenct account into your ISA account via this cheque made out from your current account...
Also, surely you have friends who could easily just go in, for yourself, with a cheque, by yourself, and ask to put it in the ISA?
Are U for real?
If all I needed to do was to write a NICE letter and send a cheque off to them, then surely this could have been mentioned in THEIR (Barclays) reply, instead of the reply they sent???
The email I sent to them was very basic, but detailed, and they chose to send the duff reply that they did???
I'm not sure WHY you are trying to defend them so vehemently (?)

Because I can't believe you sent them decent information :-/ otherwise they would give you a decent response...?
As my mother told me when I was young 'Ask a silly question, get a silly answer'0 -

In that case:-
"If you do not have anything sensible to say, then say nothing"
In this instance I am sorry to say, YOU have nothing sensible to say(?)
"I can't believe you sent them decent information" .......... If this is so, then what planet are you living on???
I do not wish to get personal ................... but NOTHING you have posted so far, in response to my original post has been either helpful or relevant.
Perhaps your mothers wisdom should (for the purpose of dealing with Barclays) be re-worded to :-
!Ask a Silly Person ( a sensible question) , get a silly answer"

In that case why did you start with your complaint? It hasn't helped anyone....
And infact I h ave been suggesting ways you could get around it, send a cheuque with instructions to the address, send a cheque to a friend who lives n ear a Barclays etc.
But infact, whats the point, you're not listening what so ever so good, I can see why barclays don't really want your service.0 -

First it was not a Complaint as such, but MY OWN PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS of taking out a Barclays Tax Haven ISA and the problems I ran in to, trying to make the most basic and simplest of transactions, such as paying money in to it.
As to YOUR suggesting ways to pay in to it ............... are you forgetting it TOO LATE NOW, for the 2007/8 ISA Tax Year ................ which is down to the way Barclays run their company, as pointed out in my post???
If people can not be bothered to actually READ things properly, then it's not my fault, and as now shown by Barclays Internet Care Team and now yourself, this is a more common problem than I thought?
If you are a Happy Barclays customer, then you are most welcome to them and given the current climate of the banking world, one would have expected better from a company as large as this and can I ask ............... How long have you worked for them?
And as for ''it hasn't helped anyone'' ...................... Just WHO are you to try and make such a sweeping claim??? If I had known what I now know about Barclays, I would have opened up a Cash ISA with a different company and would not have had the hassle I have so far had with Barclays.
I do not know your reasons for not liking anyone criticising Barclays ............... but get use to it .......... If they improve their service, then fair dues, but at present their Customer Service is pretty non-existent and I am not afraid to pass this information on, for others to use, if they so wish?0 -

As you said, its a bit late now so why would it matter about last years applications?
And also you left it quite late, the last month? You have had 11 other months you could have opened it in, so I do believe in this case, its your own fault.
And I have haven't had any problems with Barclays, I went to open my next year ISA with a wonderful lady who was extremely helpful and efficient with dealing with me.
And moral of this story? Sort it out, don't leave it until the last minute.0 -
