Janey, I've only just seen your messages. I'm so sorry to hear about your OH, my thoughts are with you.

Janeys news put things into perspective but I have to admit that when I am ill I can't deal with DD. Last night I seriously considered giving her for adoption. This morning she was ever so sweet when I was getting teary eyed over Janey's latest message. She brought me tissue and helped me to blow my nose and then wiped my tears. But I just can't cope with her when I am this ill and it is not fair on her either as I keep biting her head off over every little thing. I don't know what to do..

I've been catching up and have just read Janey's posts. Sophiesmum summed it up for all who read this forum. Janey has written some of the best posts ever put on this forum and will hopefully continue when she feels she is able to do so. Her relationship with her OH seemed like such a warm natural bonding so I hope she will eventually take comfort from knowing that she shared her life with a lovely man.

Sophiesmum's post made me cry too, summing up exactly how we're all feeling. We are a real community with real lives and Tom was a definite part of that through Janey. I certainly feel like we have lost a friend. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful picture of Tom with us Janey and I hope you can give him the best send off possible xxx
Marru, get yourself round here pronto, or I can come to you xx

    Marru,
If I lived nearer i would come and take her off your hands for a while to give you a break. It is hard work being a single parent especially when you are feeling less than 100%, have you no friends nearby who could give you a little help?

Edited as have just read Bails post. Thanks bails :)

Had a good morning at the Country park with mumzy and the children. Kids played on the park area then we went for a walk through the woods, we saw a squirrel only a few feet away. Mumzy collected leaves with the kids to make pictures with at home. Then we had a picnic ( bought stuff from asda using a voucher I had:D ) and mumzy had made some cookies with the kids too, which were very nice even though she insisted they wouldn't be.:p After picnic the kids had a go on bouncy castle and ladybird ride before we left. Then we went to DD's stables to see pony and some cows and give the horses some apples. We all went home tired out.

Spent £1.50 on car park and another £2 so have £3.50 to deduct from my total.

Since arriving home I have cleaned the house through and am now having a catch up before tea.

Janey, hope Tom's send off is everything you would wish for him.He sounded like a wonderful person:A

You put everything we were thinking so well Sophiesmum....thank you.

Marru...I know what you mean about at times we could strangle our little 'darlings', but then they do something or something happens like Janeys loss, and then we ralise our blessings.

Popped over to my sisters today and she gave me loads of pots, including two large terracotta pots, one with a lovely box hedge in it. Every week she supplies us with bread rolls from her resturant, so lots of freebies today.:T

Have had a bit of a lazy afternoon, just watching 'River Cottage Forever', six episodes! Then went into the back garden and transplanted my carrots. I also cut out a new cover for my sunlounger that was looking a wee bit sorry for itself. I shall sew it up tomorrow and I have enough material,( made from old flowery curtains), to make cushions for some garden chairs. I'm enjoying getting something for nothing!:D

Aahhh, Janey that's really sweet. Wonder if he has met my Nan yet..like to think our loved ones are watching over us. Bet he's still too busy keeping a look out for you.

I'm looking forward to hearing about his splendiferous send-off in fabulous Janey-detail.
