Marru....You poor thing having to drag your tot off to nursery. I am still having to drag my DS (15yrs) sreaming and kicking to school.! He's nor topless though!:rotfl: I had to read your thread twice as I thought that YOU were the one that was topless! Whatever turns you on!:rotfl: :rotfl:
:rotfl:Thanks! No - I haven't had internal arguments lately of which top to put on in the morning as to have to go out without one after no solutions have been found. I just need to catch up with the washing and make sure all her clothes are in her drawers and then let her get on with it. Only time that problems arise are situations like today when almost everything is dirty and there is not much choice left.
Talking about knickers - you might remember that I had a bit of a "I Want a Spending Spree" going on awhile back. I have promised myself that when I get myself to do my tax return for 07-08 and get my rebate I will revamp my knicker drawer. If that makes me over budget then so be it as I haven't bought any new ones in: I can't remember when!
Had to pay £3.- today for getting into the soft play centre thingy!!! I don't honestly think that was worth it. I will go again thou during summer holiday when it is likely that they have more kids there AND at a time that Mum's get a free tea. DD did fall asleep on a way back but is now yet again full of beans. So we are having our normal "when Mummy is tired supper" which is - surprise, surprise - veggie sausages and chips.
Really tired today, I need to talk to my GP when I see her next time. One moment I feel brillant and next just exhausted. Staying on the middle lane seems impossible. Not to worry - I have decided that world is not going to come crashing down over night so I have another day to finish all those bits and bobs that need finishing.
Enjoy your evening everybody,
Marru"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Hi Nyk,the top hats sound great! Can you tell me how you made them please as they sound like a great little present that my girls could make for their friends at the end of term....
Ingredients to make 25
Half slab of Scotbloc/Mr Oetker cooking chocolate
I pack of marshmallows
1 pack of smarties
25 cake cases (I use the mini ones)
Melt the half slab of chocolate in a bowl over a pan of hot water.
Whilst chocolate is melting, lay out the cake cases.
Once melted, place a level teaspoon (ish) of melted chocolate into each case and stick a marshmallow in the middle of each (looks a bit like a top hat).
Use a small pastry brush or lollipop stick and dab a spot of chocolate on the top of each marshmallow and stick on a smartie.
Leave to set.
Tip - don't let any water get into the chocolate and don't heat the chocolate in a pan. It needs to melt slowly so it becomes pourable.
I'm going to do some cup cakes tonight, tiny sponges with various colours of icing and a jelly sweet on top of each. Kids love them (and so do the adults). Thanks to Sophiesmum and others, I was made aware of the reduced food colourings and cake decorations in Tescos, so I stocked up with them all today, which means I won't need to buy any more for DGD's party next monthI reserve the right not to spend.

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been around recently, it's been mental here. I haven't had chance to catch up yet but I desperately need some help so I hope you forgive my selfishnes. I hope you're all doing well, and will try to catch up soon.
I've just worked out that I'm going to have 38% less income from November  At absolute best, I can earn 11% more but that still means I'm 27% short  Anyone got any ideas how I can cut back even further? Obviously holidays are out etc but the only place I can see to cut back is my meds, which is of course completely counter-productive for my earning potential. Please help!!The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

bails,
can't remember what meds you're on, if I ever knew.
Have you checked out of you are entitled to a medical exemption certificate? (try googling). I know some with hypothyroidism(?) who has a certificate. Sometimes low income means that too (poss tax credits???):heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Good Evening everyone,
Well i got my Hamster today and i spent about £24.00 on the cage and everything. She is really cute and my DS3 has decided to call HIM Charlie...
I have been to youngmums today and also spent some money on dinner out as I did not have time to make lunch to take with us to young mums..as my friend was running late to pick her DD4 up from nursery after she had helped me buy the hamster and bring it home.
It has been pouring down most of the day here..and i think my tomato plants have 0% of survival now.
I worked out before how much i had spent today but i had forgotten how much exactly..so im saying £36 spent today..Iam deffo not going to try and spend much this week :rotfl: Im sure i have said that before
Sophiesmum - Please let me know about Saturday.. we are still ok to come.. oh and also DS3 said to me today you had left the picture that you said you was taking home to put on your fridge.. he did call you THAT LADY :rotfl: So he has put it somewhere safe for you to take home
Im off now to rest,
Hope everyone is ok, ((HUGS)) to anyone who is feeling under the weather.

Thanks guys. Hmm, SOA? Statement of Affairs? I have done one for myself but will do another one over the weekend to have another look at things, thanks DT.
Whitewing, some of my meds can be free on NHS but my doctor refuses to give me them  so I have to buy everything privately. I get them at trade prices but still a lot of money. One of my next steps is to find a new doctor, but still no guarantee I'll get them.
I am down (and quite scared) but not beaten. It is so great to know that you guys are here. I really HATE having to worry about money, which is entirely different from being careful with it. I've had to do it seriously twice in life before and guess I thought I wouldn't need to do it again; now here we are, two postgrads who are skintSorry to whinge, I'm just so fed up when life is already so restricted in many ways to have to cut back further; there's got to be some fun in life after all eh, and currently I feel about 80. Back when I've got a grip, apologies x

Bails, if your OH is working and you are unable to work then you should be able to claim working tax credits against his income. If it's a low income, you may be entitled to housing benefit or similar and that would mean you would be entitled to sign for your prescriptions (I think). Whave you checked out the 'entitled to' website? I don't have the link at the moment but will try to find it asap. Gotta dash, 2nd batch of 50 mini sponges just went 'ding'!I reserve the right not to spend.
