    Hello all! :hello:

Since I have been away I have spent alot on travel as I have been to Blackpool to go shopping with my Mum, and also been to visit my grandma (my Dad's mum) as my sister is stopping with her as she has come over from the States by her self (she is 15). My sister is stopping till tomorrow so needed food in and spent £18.66 in Morrisons today but got a chicken too, i just need to learn how to cook it now :rotfl:

I have updated my spends so far this month and i have to say..i can deffo see what i spent my money on each month and thats cigs. Most people know on here that my monthly total is about £700!! and its half of that now! :T Iam not going to buy anymore cigs and if anyone wants to buy me any (mother) then thats great! :rotfl: She is back over in 2 weeks so maybe get some more..but i do have 5 x 50g of baccy lol. I just started smoking rollies today... I need practice with the rolling machine :rotfl:

Tax credits owed me £120.00, i know its not much and i have £148.00 this week due to them oweing me and thats after all my bills are paid up to date. I really want to spend it, but also want to save it. What could i do? I really dont want to spend it on cr£p. :D

My DD2 has had sickness and smelly nappy bug last week so she hasnt been eating and my son has been sick 3 times today so maybe he is starting with it. Need to keep an eye on him tonight as last week when DD2 was ill, she was fine in day and was only sick at night.

I have bought a mix in a packet for chilli con carnie.. it gave me the recipe on the back of packet..so im going to try that this week and also make lasagne. I have lots of mince in. Had spag bol for tea but im sick of having the same tea's like spag bol and lasagne and mince! I find any other meat is expensive and i cant afford that.

Anyway i have rambled again, im sorry.

NYK - That webcam site is great :D

Hope everyone is well and ok, hugs to anyone who isn't

WHERES ME MRDT????? RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Bye D Bye x

    Hiya Mumzy

Re the solar lights, have you tried the assorted Pound shops? They quite often have solar lights very cheap, if not £1 [now that would be nice!] then a great deal cheaper than anywhere else.

    night night everyone

Morning everyone. On the theme of cheap shopping, I was at Asda yesterday. They are selling their pizza base mixes (makes 2, although I use it to make one huge pizza) for 19p a pack. I think they are usually about 60p. I have stocked up, as they are really good for using up odds and ends in the fridge on.

    Hi everyone.

I haven't been on here for a while as I've been very poorly, for the last 8-9 weeks, and still not 100%.

Lots have happened and I see that you have all been busy bee's!:D

I bit the bullet and handed in my notice and officially left work last week!

I have my reasons, and being so ill made me realise we only have one shot at this life, so we had better start doing what we want and not put things off. Things will be tight...but then I never wanted to be a millionaire, just happy and to be able to pay my bills. and be self-sufficient;)

Here's the scary stuff!:o I have only enough money to last three months for bills, so it is going to be a challenge in itself how I can make some dosh to pay my half to the bills, but I know I can do it and with all your help and encouragement, I know things will work out.

I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and I'm sure that has helped my road to recovery, much faster,;)

My OH and I have still been keeping to this challenge and although I haven't been able to keep tabs on our spending, we are well within the £4000. In fact, because of our circumstances, we have hardly spent anything!:D

Well sorry for the long post. Will keep you all updated. x

    Good Morning all.

I have not got much planned for today as my sister is going home today around 4pm. My son didn't wet the bed last night so i need to find a reward for him which might mean more money..but might be a better idea if i say .. if you dont wet the bed tonight and tomorrow i will get you a present for not wetting the bed. What did everyone else do/did to there little one's?

My DS3 is much better today, so he is back to his lively self :)

I really really dont know what to do today.. Might put all drying away and sort the drawers out in kitchen and then play with the kiddies.

FunBrum I hope you fell 100% better soon.

Mumzy re the bed wetting, give him lots of praise when he has a dry bed but don't make a fuss if he is wet, You could always make him a star chart then at the end of the week buy him a little treat if he has enough stars.
Make sure he has a wee just as he is going to bed and don't let him get absolutely exhausted before bed, if he is in a really heavy sleep he is unlikely to get up for the toilet during the night.
Try and keep it positive with lots of big boy praise for being dry, he will like having the positive attention.good luck.

Funbrum - Hope you are feeling better, as you say money is not everything and your health comes first. Lots of ideas on the £10 a day threads or Nyks interest beater challenge over on Up your income board, good luck with it.:D

    Frugal plans for today:
    • Need to nip to asda for a few bits for oldies tea tonight (might have a look for some of Draigs pizza mixes to add to stores)and pick up big pack of compost for frugalmum.
    • Need to nip to frugalmums to cut my brother's hair and deliver the compost.
    • Keep an eye on how decking is progressing and make brews for workmen.
    • Cook the tea for the oldies./recycle any leftover veggies for soup.
Other than that will be a relaxing day:D Have a good day everyone.

Well done Funbrum for being so brave. The 'weight off your shoulders' feeling is a sign that you really needed to make this choice.

Haven't had chance to read all posts since friday but hope all is well with everyone

Stockpiling went shopping to local chinese and indian grocers yesterday and bought

    20kg rice - £17:money:
    200g crushed dried chillies - 89p
    400g linseeds - 79p
3kg each of green lentils, yellow split peas and chick peas all £2 each
    100g dried mushrooms £1.50
    500g soy sauce 99p
    650g egg noodles £1.10

I am very pleased with my little hoard i have also added lots of stockpile stuff to my monthly mr T's order I was talking to the lady who runs the chinese grocers she says all her wholesale prices have almost doubled (and she is absorbing some of the cost)but the shop is busier due to [strike]IDIOTS [/strike]people like me panic buying;) so she is just breaking even

By the way mr t's marrowfat dried peas are 37p per kilo anyone got a pea soup recipe ??

Also collected an old battery from freecycle the plan is to use it for solar project i have in mind but hubby wants it for our caravan as its better than the one we have in it at the moment:rotfl:

Did lots of gardening stuff too trying to plan the winter veg production
got celeriac sprouts swede turnip leeks purple sprouting broccoli chinese cabbage and pak choi planned and hoping to do some indoor potatoes in buckets
any more ideas welcomed:rolleyes: struggling for things that will be out of the beds ready for something else to go in in spring as i dont have huge space although seriously considering allotment/digging up gravel garden at front of house

Today have nothing planned but have made a butternut squash soup and a minestrone one too, the breadmaker is going (again thinking of buy another to cope with demand)

Was going to bake but people keep appearing in kitchen so doing it tomorrow

Have a great day whatever your doing
