Happy Birthday J-B, better late than never  (It's Davy T's homebrew) Imagine bf being jealous - I read out YOUR post (from MrDT's thread) to HS when he got back from his hols and all I got was, "I thought you hadn't met any of them?" Like he believes I really WOULD drink all DT's homebrew?! :rotfl: And then (I'm sure he's been reading these threads whilst on holiday) HE CONFISCATED THE CACTUS FLOWER!!! :o

CharliesAngel, you are the weakest link! You must now leave the Big (Frugal) Brother house. But you still need to post here, as all ex-housemates find their 15 minutes of fame and glory after failing their tasks. :rotfl:

Going to watch the funny (ha ha, not peculiar) fillum now.

Oh, almost forgot! I have drained off the raisins and decanted the sugarified juice into the mini-barrel with a smidging of yeast and a pretty purple balloon to top it all off in style. :D Will get a piccie for my frugal website and then go watch the film.

    My top tips

Your post puts me in mind of the 'grab it' bag! Mine consists of a plastic picnic set, flask, juice bottles, sandwich box, picnic blanket, beach towel, sun cream and ice packs at the ready in the freezer. :D It means that given half the chance, I can throw together some sannies and just grab the bag and run - beach, forestry, park, lochside or wherever we are heading. We live near the sea, on the edge of Galloway National Park, so we are spoilt for choice when time and weather permits. Most places have free parking free unless you go to a fee-paying car park. I've also renewed my membership to the Scottish National Trust, taking advantage of the current 18 months for 12 offer. I also have the BBQ in 'ever-ready' mode.

I'm ashamed to say that after 6 weeks of blistering sunshine, we have only managed a handful of day trips. It's still warm and sunny here today, still no let up on that front, but there's always work, babysitting and gardening to do, plus the party arrangements. (Must go and find/book frugal accommodation for more relatives - our house and DD's house are both full that weekend.)

Received my £10 M&S voucher from piggy points this morning, but am still awaiting the arrival of the £10 Asda voucher from my stationery order. Congratulations Marru, that was a great win on piggy points! You really are on a winning streak at the moment! :T

On the free camping subject - Mr S is selling 2-man tents for a tenner! I am tempted! :)

Woohoo! I've just added £25 'free money' to my house savings by following Marru's "playboy casino" post on the interest beater thread :D Thought I'd post here as I'm not actually on the IB thread lol just lurk there now and then.

Someone over on the house prices board claims to earn upwards of £500 a month on matched betting  I really need to look into that, that would almost double my monthly savings!

Only 12 days left of June, that'll mark half way for most of you guys, and the end of my first quarter :) Hope everyone's gonna be putting up 'year to date' stats at the end of the month, I love being nosey :D

Welcome to the mad world of MB. I started last week and in eight days I have earned £155.88 + £110.80 worth of cash back has been tracked that is total of £266.68 which is £33.34 per day. Not bad. Only thing is that I can't move the money into my ISA as it is needed in Betfair to allow bigger lay stakes to allow bigger profits from free SNR bets.

One warning thou: It can just take your life over as my previous posts prove. :o All my money is now tied up until tomorrow evening so can't do anything and am already getting withdrawal symptoms. Luckily I have a report to finish by tomorrow so need to get my head down and get on with it.

Hi All, Happy belated Birthday JB! lol at the jealous boyfriend - mine skipped that gene
Still reading, flailing wildly with other things but getting there - may have to start spending diary properly again in July (only have random entries for last 2 months) and put in (fairly accurate) guesstimates for May and June - if anything I'll be overestimating spends for this challenge.
Really am trying to get back soon xx
