I am aaaaaal aloooooooone at the stables!!!!
Not that it has done any good as still all of 0.01 in my account.
I actually tried to spend some money yesterday but the que to the petrol station was ridiculous so I decided not to sit in it. It means that I have to make a special trip soon to have a fill. I don't know which one would have cost me more; sitting in that traffic or making another trip. I guess everybody else around here knows that they have the best price around here AND you get points which you can redeem as discount vouchers to save in your next petrol shop. (I did stock up with some Mr S basic biscuits )
I have only now realised how close my trip is so I need to get my act together to make sure that I pack for everybody and and that I have all the stuff for the course and all the maps and destinations sorted. I think I will dedicate tomorrow for planning, Wednesday for course stuff and maps and destinations and Thursday to make sure that all the clothes that are needed have been washed. Then Friday morning cleaning all the animals and final packing and then off we go.
I have been trying to catch up with the pile of paper stuff that keeps coming through the letter box and needs attention and I haven't even started yet so better just get on with it.
Wishing everybody a lovely day,
Marru"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Hi Marru, I keep trying to get to the stables but keep ending up elsewhere! Most annoying! You are 0.01 better off than me for now, as I have 0.00 and it's been like that for weeks now.
I've now managed to get back into the stables, but you've gone LOL I'm going to DD's for dinner soon, so will try to meet up with you all later on tonight, when I should be doing housework before HS returns tomorrow morning. Need to water the garden, too. What happened to Monday?I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Good evening frunchkins:D
Quiet day at work today:D have been planning a day trip for the oldies for August. Going to take them for a country ride stopping at Penrhyn for three course lunch and a few drinks then drive to Llanberis lakeside railway and take them for an hours ride on the steam train there, then have cuppa and a cake before heading home. I think they will enjoy that -and not lots of walking for the less mobile ones. Now I just need a sheepdog to keep track of everyone when we go:rotfl: .0 -

If I still had my "oldies", I'd want them to be in your care, Sophiesmum. Thank you on behalf of all the oldies' children who don't bother to thank you. Well done you.
Well today was spent helping a chum cater for a party, same tomorrow and for rest of week! No money, but I do get my tea out of it. So that's a very frugal NoSpendWeek for me this week, possibly.
Hope everyone had a lovely day, and hugs to those that need them [and spares for those that might!] I can NEVER get onto Bingo, too slow a connection speed, but, from the sound of it, am not missing much. Best of luck everyone.

Had to pop to asda tonight for raffle tickets for work, they had just reduced the fruit and veg as I landed so I was tempted to dip into my £100 contingency fund. I bought two trays of jumbo flat mushrooms 10p each, a net of clementines 10p, bag of stir fry 10p, bag of peppers 10p, 3 red onions 10p and a honeydew melon for 20p. Total spend 80p:j :j .
Have worked it into tomorrows mealplan and we will now be having grilled jumbo mushrooms, stuffed with cottage cheese, red onions and black olives for lunch, and quorn stir fry for tea. The fruit will be fine for another day:D
Contingency fund now down to £99.20:p
Got enough piggy points for another voucher so ordered a M&S one towards xmas have got most of my xmas pressies in now:D Next year though I think everyone can have vouchers as I have had to move my pressie stash to set up my bulk food storage cupboard. If i do vouchers i won't need the space.
OH has vetoed the wine making, he thinks I have already taken over the flat enough with my frugal stuff.Hmmm and here was me thinking he hadn't noticed the breadmaker, slowcooker, dehydrator, sausage maker, yoghurt maker, jam pan, kilner jars, pantry, kefir cultures, pots of herbs and shelves of books about about self sufficiency:rotfl: :rotfl: I may have to work on him with this one:think:  .0 -

Oh no! You did it again!!! With all this matched betting, spread beting and bingoing I have missed my supper again and here I am sitting hungry reading about cottage cheese mushrooms...(groans and drools) I think that I will have a late night snack called "what ever can be found from the fridge and cupboards and thrown into a frying pan together". That seems to be on the menu in here most evenings (nights). And breakfast was one banana and yoghurt and lunch was biscuits and tea so I better do go and get something that at least remotely resembles food in me.
I am really getting now into this matched betting (except half of the profit I have made is from the cashback sites that I have used to sign up for bookies). You know exactly how much money you will have in the end of the evening but don't know where it is and finding out and planning for next move is really great fun. I think I have found my vocation.
Better go and fill my stomach and then go to bed. Last couple of weeks (plus today) DD has been late from school. I shall try to get her there in time tomorrow.
Night night or good morning depending on when you are reading this.

HI everyone have posted this elsewhere but thought you lot could help too
I was reading somewhere the other day you shouldn't eat nettles after june due to high levels of ?????????????????? oxalic acid i think and they are then poisonous can anyone confirm/deny before i go foraging
And is it just the tips we eat not the flowers or woody stems?
Thanks for the help

Hmm, I don't know about the oxalic acid but do know that nettles are past their best by now. If you do pick them, only take the top 4 or 6 leaves ie the young, tender ones.
Not really around at the mo, busy busy doing allsorts of stuff but still very much with you in spirit. Will be back a bit more soon hopefully. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

hi all,
Sorry not been around much, work is v busy (and doing my head in a bit at the moment). Finding it easier to stick to the challenge now I am drawing out a cash allowance for the week and sticking to it. So far haven't gone over! It is complicated making allowances for stuff bought online though, as I tend to spread the 'payments' (to myself!) over a couple of weeks budget. Anyway, the point is I'm on target for this month. And hoping that if I stick to this system it will get me back on track to come in under £4k for the year.
ok, must get back to work. Just needed five mins of stresslessness. Is that even a word?
Oh, and sorry, I don't know anything about nettles.
