my mum got the invitation in the post for a neighbour who moved away years ago :rotfl:
ARE YOU SERIOUS????? :rotfl: :T
This is the first time I have ever heard of this frugalopportunistic idea and it really gave me a laugh! I keep thinking of the jumble-bee in her very best jumble finds rubbing shoulders with the toffs at the Harvey Nics doo! Excellent! But then we all know toffs are careless and really that jumble_bee is a multi-millionaire eccentric in disguise :rotfl: Hope you had an absolutely fabulous time!
It's glorious sunny day here too, I think we have had 2 lots of rain over the past full month! Rest assured, it will all be saved up for the summer holidays and then pour down July & start of August, clearing up again just as the schools go back! Thank goodness I am past revolving everything around school holidays!
Postman brought me a nice cheque this morning to the tune of £50 from Mutualpoints :T It was paid straight into the bank and I have rejigged my signature so I can now keep note of cashback payments and vouchers.
I've now caught up with a work backlog and need to go eat lunch. I've been out and picked more salad leaves for more sannies and plan to update my little frugal website with photographs of how the garden is growing. It's fun seeing the differences but very time consuming trying to get the site all set up! I've got the link in my profile if anyone wants to see how the mini-semi-self-sufficiency practice run is doingThe tiny mushroom plot has been completed and, hopefully, the mad method of burying chopped muchrooms will work. Never heard of this before being told about it last week and still don't know if it's for real or if someone is just winding me up about it! :rotfl: Don't care, am trying it anyway.

Easy - put mice and some of those scratchy poles that cats love in amongst the weeds, and a dog amongst the begonias, that'll soon teach him!
And thanks everyone - the sun's arrived over here too, at last. I even managed to relocate my office (aka my laptop) to the balcony for a few hours of work in the sunshine! My basil cuttings are thriving, just hope my thyme seedlings take off too. Shame I haven't got any fruit/veg growing here...Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -

I have bought the black buckets from Mr M and i got 8 for 99p.. and a few other bits,
our M's must be more generous they had the 8 for 99p sticker on but there were about 20
dont forget you need to put some drainage holes in
I filled about a third with compost put 2 potatoes in then covered so the bucket was about 1/2 full then once they grow cover with more compost repeat this until full of compost this is the pot equivalent to "earthing up" ie more potatoes (i think if i have understood)
here are mine a few weeks ago
And today
you can tell the pots at the far end are a different variety because they have more leaves you can just see in the foreground where we covered the leaves again this weekend
Hope this helps
