Morning Frugalites
Its a stunningly gorgeous day today and I am going to try and get the grass cut before I need Nyk's elephant repellant :rotfl:
Had a fantastic bargain yesterday in local Co-op. Just cruising past the "Reduced" section when I realised one of the staff was reducing 2 Litre milk to 20p:j Have now stocked up freezer with enough for many cups of coffee :T
AS DH needs me within call, I have been been catching up with housework and have found a lot of things which could be ebayed for funds towards next year's holiday. Just need a free listing day.
I know its a bit too frugal but, DH not eating much and only being able to eat soup type meals..good excuse to use up all the scrappy meat and veg bits in fridge and freezer.:D
Have a good day0 -
Good Morning all, loverly and sunny here and im just waiting on seeing what all my friends are doing today
Need to go libary soon but not taking DD2 as she just throws books on carpet and runs around taking books of shelfs..so my friend said she would have her while i took DS3 but dont know if im going today.
Have nursery run again at 1pm-3.30pm
Ive decided to grow my tomatoes in big pots as people have said growbags are too shallow over on the other bit of forum (forgotten name), im just wondering how big of a pot now lol
My DD is full of a cold and runny nose, hate it when my kids are ill..they tend to play up more..oh and i feel sorry for them

Morning Frugal Friends,
I spent far too long at Mr T last night, I had a handful of vouchers, including a £3 off if I spend £30... Like a thing possessed, I ran around adding things up, crossing off vouchers as I got things in the trolley, including things where I spent £1 (at the bakery), used 4 vouchers and got 100 points / £4 deals...! I even had a voucher for double points!!!
Total spend: £31.50 , less £3 = £28.50 - Total Clubcard points acquired: 480
Clubcard Deals value: £19.20... Effective spend: £9.30, for my weekly shop, for me and the OH!:):)
Might not have been the most elegant of shopping baskets, certainly contained some treats as well as some frugal things (flours, cheeses, marg etc, on offer/reduced), but also got some ready meals and pastries, in order to get the extra points, thus making the purchases free, but pushing me over the £30... Sure will keep us going for at least a week, though, I hope! All we'll need now is milk.
PS The weather here is pants, it's cold and not too bright. Please send the sunshine down my way, I'll put my mint plants out, ready for the sunbathing later this afternoon...Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -

Thankyou, do you think they will be big enough?Sealed Pot dec 08 - dec 09 so far £27.67, Live off £4k Spent £330.20 GC £1,200 for 2009 Spent £50.78 PaD so far £650.07Debts: L/woods £154.00 C/One PAID O/D £649.90 Next £299.95 O/D PAID Gas £72.60 Electric £155.73 Mum £640.00 Orange £490.320 -
Morning everyone. It's a glorious sunny day here and I've just been for a 5 mile walk with my friend. We used to get together and goshoppng. Now we walk saving loads of money
I'm shattered though as we upped the pace and took 10 mins off our best time.I'm alot larger than her also so I'm the one who ends up lagging behind weezing and looking like a beetroot.
On the plus side though I've lost 8lbs in the last 3 weeks :T
I need a big tidy up today as It's my birthday on Saturday and I have the girls coming over. They all bring a bottle and a nibble over so again great money saving. We do this for each girls birthday and have loads of fun.
I've managed to do one big monthly shop of £99 at the beginning of this month and seem to have loads in.Hopefully just milk and fresh fruit/veg will be needed.i upped my grocery budget as I went over in the last 2 months.I really need to come under this month.
I'm also breaking down my "other" budget so I can really see where my money goes.I'm guessing it's the kids lol but need to see just how much so I can talk to DS about it.Paid £45 last night for his Annual Army cadet camp in August. Not bad for 2 weeks holiday but he's going to need spending money and other bits and pieces.
I got a considerable amount from Quidco this week as one of my items tracked, validated and paid out 5 times instead of 1.The money has hit my account and I'm scared to spend it incase they want it back.By rights it should be the merchant that gets it back and I feel if I let Quidco know then they will just pocket it instead of me.
I've had sleepless nights wondering what to do and have had various advice from MSE'ers on Quidco thread.
I'm currently thinking of emailing the merchant, but then I'm also thinking I should just keep it to make up for all the amounts that haven't paid out.
What to do what to do.......
Well I've managed to ramble on quite well today sorry
Hope you all have a lovely daylost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

I am forcing myself to do my monthly financial paperwork for the accountant today, when really I want to be making wedding invitations.
Never mind. If I get it all done today, then I can spend the whole glorious day tomorrow sorting them out.
Hi everyone. Hope you're all happy.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
