Ha ha, I know exactly what you mean Shaz! Getting a cleaner could be something I do with part of the money we're saving by doing this challenge/the GC etc - last month we had £127 left in our joint account! Unheard ofThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Oh, Bails, what lovely kittens...I'm a dog person, really, but that was the cutest picture! They all look so cuddly and so peaceful.
What's the going rate for a cleaner? I used to have one years ago and would love to have one again.

How did it go SF? Hope it was okay.
I was always a dog person too Redglass, then we got a cat a couple of years ago and I'm totally converted (ie I love dogs AND cats now :rotfl:) We have 6 at the mo :rotfl: I think a cleaner is about £7/hr round here, need to check though.
Guess who's coming to see the kittens?:rotfl::rotfl:The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Hi all,
Is it too late to join in?
You see, I've only just noticed this challenge, and I've calculated my spending over the past months since I moved out of my parents and into a flat with my gf (now fianc!e)...
By the time I take off the £500 pm that I've forced myself to save in two regular savings accounts, the £65 per month contribution towards the council tax each month (half each, each month), and the rent (£437.50 per month, each), I reckon my spending's just over £300pm. The amount of money I've been saving has grown steadily over the time (I reckon about £4k over the 9 months) which would fit with having saved enough.
This would put me at living off under £4k per year. And yes, my partner and I share the cost of the food shopping (alternating with the big shops), and I've roughly calculated the petrol for mileage to/from work (around £100 per month), my car's not had any issues so far (thankfully)...
The reason why I think we may need to join is that we have a wedding to plan for (next March) so need to think of savings for expenses, and the honeymoon... I'll have to explore my fianc!e's finances to see how much she spends, so that we have any hope of enjoying next spring!
Thanks all, and good luck to all those who want to do this - I've just realised that I've been doing this even without noticing, so I'm sure that with a bit of effort, you can too!
PS I can happily give people some further info on where I save money, if you want...Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -

Bails, cute kittens - love the ginger one. Sorry if I missed a previous post, but when did you have your kittens? Surely not today, are they born with that much fur? We've only had baby gerbils in our house and they are born bald.
