  • Hi everyone,

We've checked with Hoxton and there is no date currently set for the next £1 sale. It's promised us it will let us know though so keep an eye out in the MoneySaving Tips email.
  • Are you sure I can't find any evidence of this? Have you received an email about it?

I was told on the phone when I was asking them if they'd start taking Maestro cards; last time around I got a room and when it came to booking it, they only take Visa and Mastercard and I have neither so missed out. Anyway, the lady I spoke to told me there was a sale on 2nd October, but clearly this was wrong.
  • Ok this is a sensitive one....Managed to exchange my room that I couldn't use with someone on here (no names) and he now wants his exchange back as he couldn't use the room (got an email this morning) to say he slept on a friends couch....i'm very CONFUSED about what to do!!

I'm not a horrible person and it was all done in good faith....but now it's looking UGLY!!!

Has anyone else had this OR ANY OTHER problem please? Pm if you'd like to stay anon

    Thanks

Why couldn't he use the room???? Did he just change his mind if so then I feel that would be his loss .... He exchanged so it's a done deal ? I mean it's not as though you can go and use that room now...... This experience will make you think twice about exchanging if people are going to want their rooms back once exchanged.....

It was done in good faith so I don't think it should be your responsibility

I think that as you should not really swap with other people that you both have to accept that it is a bit of a gamble and unfortunately he may have caught out which is not your fault so he/she has got to accept that you can't ask for original room back really as it is a little unfair.

Saying that, i have never ever been checked as to see if i really was person who booked or not but i have never switched bookings with others either.

Could have had this one !HERE

oh my god, what a horrible person he must be. name and shame i say!

why did he sleep on a friends couch? is it because he blatanly isnt 'Miss Heavenlygee'? Maybe he should of thought of that before he swapped, surely he would have seen the risk there! not your fault at all love. if i were you id refuse to swap back and ignore him from now on!

  • err, well I'd suggest checking in as early as possible, as if he wants to use it, he surely still has the same confirmation details himself.. I wouldn't trust him not to beat you to check in!
