I managed to bag a £1 room last time for 9th Oct (Thurs)to coincide with our holiday- unfortunately we have had to move holiday by 2 days, so we won't be in the country on the 9th, but could really do with a swap for 7th October (tues).

I could not go for this as Hoxton Hotel only takes Mastercard and Visa and I have only a humble Maestro.

Well, the person who has already so kindly let me have their room for 1 October sent me their original printout; because he's male and I am female, they may ask at reception; I'll just say a friend booked it for me as a surprise. How else would I get a printout of someone else's reservation unless they'd given it to me? I guess they can ring the original purchaser if they're suspicious.

If anyone has any rooms spare the next few weeks I will be a happy buyer! Need to get some work done in my flat which means I need to move out for a day or two..

Can't you borrow someones who you know well and pay them the £1?
