Also, does anyone know what he rooms in August from £30 is about? As I can't see any-but maybe this is the wrong monet to ask.:p

There *were* (not sure if still there now) some Sunday nights for £30. If you read their website, all rooms have supposedly started at that rate and increased as bookings have been made, but I've only ever seen Sundays at that price outside of the sale.

Um, if they are all in your name, I'm sorry to say you've broken the terms & conditions and will have all your reservations cancelled. You are only allowed one night for £1 and one night for £29.

They are not all in my name. I booked the hen weekend in others (6 people going and 2 to a room makes 3 rooms) and the show weekend in mine.

I just don't get how on earth on my screen it was counting down till midnight tonight and so when it came to midday the 1 pound rooms and 29 pound rooms didn't open up, I thought I had made a mistake then when I realised at about quarter past and refreshed the page and clicked through on the 29 pound rooms which was open all of the dates up till december were not available!!
  • As always the site kept crashing around all our ears. I really didnt think i stood a chance and was thinking of giving up.

Managed to get a £29 so am really chuffed :-)

Congrats to everyone who got a room! :o

We did get one for £29 but not for the date we originally wanted - my OH got a Sunday night (8th June) in the end and we'll just take the Monday off work. But it will be nice to have a little time away together!

Don't suppose anyone has booked the 7th June and now doesn't want it ;) ?! We're going to a concert on the Sat night and we can get a Travelodge but it would be nice not to have to check in and out twice in 2 days!

    xx

    You going to the Foo's?

Thanks for the link Blindman. Worked great

    Oh dear,

Having opened a few windows, I managed to secure two £29 rooms (non consecutive nights)!!

Is that allowed? I understood that hoxton did not allow for two £1 rooms under one name, but what about two £29 rooms under one name?

    Anybody know?

    Thanks

After reading the reviews on the hotel I thought that I would try to get a room. So at 11.59 I started to refresh page constantly until the booking form opened at midday. I failed to get a room at £1 and £29. So I thought that I would try a standard rate room. Not available for the date I required...infact not available for any date between now and at least September (after that I gave up looking). How many rooms does this hotel have just the 1?

    :T :T :T Congratulations to all who managed to get a room:T :T :T
The website has crashed- if you look under the html link below you can see dates to later in the year.
This discussion about the rights and wrongs of this offer is a regular feature. Every time the offer comes up more people try and they could not be prepared for the number of attempts. Its like a competition in which there are some things you can do to make winning more likely- html link, roboform, choosing mid week dates, going for a £29 room first if really keen. Its not a scam or a hoax and its a lovely hotel.I think its great that 500 people, or maybe 1000 really, will get the chance to stay there for les than the cost of the water bottles in the room- it represents a lot of great nights out and in.

    Same here.
I followed the advice, installed roboform and practiced using it,then kept pressing F5 to refresh the html page up to midday.
As soon as the £1 room apeared clicked though to book, filled in with roboform, then got message the card expiry was wrong!Doh!
Corrected this and got the confirmation for 19th june, with e mail about 10 mins later.
Ideal,as we have a 10 am eurostar to catch the next day and saves us driving into london at death o'clock then being stuck in the rush hour.
Even the eurostar tickets are free, bagged from the St pancras trial days in december. Then 3 nights at the Brussels/Amsterdam Hilton courtesy of Tesco clubcard.
    Moneysaving all the way!
    Thunderbird;10084723]Horraaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! I have got £1 room for July!!! :j

The Roboform was spot on! Without it and HTML link, I wouldn't be able to book!! Many thanks to blindman and dmg24 for making this possible!

Some might remember what I did last time when I was fiddling with the currency drop list looking for GBP when it wasn't there at all as it was the defult currency!!!! I didn't get it last time!

    I am very happy!!

P.S. for future references, this is http://www.roboform.com/ what helped fill the form with one click! But for some reason, it was setting the expiry date of my card to January! So I had to change it to the correct month. Download the free trial one.

This the link for the HTML https://reservations.ihotelier.com/crs/step1.cfm?hotelid=13279&languageid=1

I am sorry I didn't post this earlier, but I have forgotten about this offer till 30 min ago when my mobile alarm reminded me about booking!

    Good luck everyone next time![/quote]
