Ahhhh I see .... thanks piggy18. That's obviously what they were ringing me for yesterday. Will just keep hanging up on them if they keep ringing ... they'll get the message eventually :rolleyes2

I got a call a few days ago, the woman talked very quickly, could not understand her half the time.

I just told her we had no spare money for things like this and she was polite and ended the call.

I got the call on Friday and stupidly signed up - D'oh!!! The £9 came out of my account on Monday and the package arrived on Tuesday. I sent it back 10 mins later!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not convinced that the "contact me" button on the website is live so I sent another e-mail cancelling the agreement to [EMAIL="editorial@mychild.co.uk"]editorial@mychild.co.uk[/EMAIL] which is on the website, and that e-mail hasn't been returned as yet.

I've been to my bank and tried to cancel any further payments to these people but unfortunately, because I paid by Switch, it seems it is a guaranteed payment. They can only try to help me to get my money back once it has gone through.

I've since found a contact name and e-mail address for Mychild - am I allowed to post it on here?

Piggy18 - I would like to complain to Watchdog too, under what heading did you send your complaint? Publications? or just contact us?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that no further payments come out.

Can we complain to the Advertising Standards Agency too?

Yes get Dom on the case!!!! He's a cocky little so and so - in a good way!!!! would love to see him on the phone to them giving them a miouthful!!! he's one of those people who has a way with words and you'd always be on the loosing end of the argument if you disagreed with him!!!

I can't believe the cheek of this company - yes, we expect to be called if they say they will (it does now say it on ONE of the comps), BUT I know for a fact I didn't enter that one, and I doubt many of us did! They are deliberatly speaking fast to confuse us into not knowing what they are on about - it's just not on! shame as the rest of the website wasn't that bad.

Love hearing what you've all said to them - wish I'd thought of something better!! and esp love the answer phone message they left :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I wish I'd read these posts before I handed over the £9 :mad: . I got a call saying I was on the shortlist for maths tuition for my children. When they said the discs would cost £9 alarm bells went off very quietly in my head. Stupid stupid me gave the man my card details. I'll ring them up tomorrow and try and cancel it. I didn't think anything regarding childrens education would be so devious :mad: :mad:
